Since last year How much they put of cast when draw on the game in general?
It is past the time to stop treat it with nuance and just spill it out.

Put 2 spells in your deck that read:
Cast when draw. Summon a random 1 mana dragon.
What improves is the cost of the dragon.
In a way the imbue power is that. It shuffles 2 portals into your deck that summons a random dragon of X cost (see above post)
So your recruits are basically replaced with random dragons that are stronger the more you imbue (as long as it’s not origami dragon) , but they just don’t appear immediately without help.
Not that many, but because people (shamans) spammed asteroids and incindius so much (the latter still works since it’s easy to slot it in any shaman deck that runs shudder… and almost all shaman decks can run shudder), it feels like a lot.
Aside from those you have patches shuffling pirates and surfalopod making just your next spell cast when drawn.
(then stuff like plagues is from the year before, which will rotate)
Not much else come to mind.
These are all really good and fun. The others just released are more control and aura-focused and I don’t really see them working.
Im looking at that one mana draw two card and am thinking “I thought they wanted to lower the power level”

There Will be always that one person thinking that despite of the many proofs of they not wanting.
So it looks like paladin (so far) is the only class who you can strategically delay their whole imbue mechanic with steamcleaner?
It also seems like this expansion has amped up the RNG aspect of the game. I generally tend to not enjoy that sort of RNG deciding games.
I don’t think that would be a huge problem. Steamcleaner hurts eruptions and asteroids because those things rely on strength in numbers.
But a (hopefully big) dragon doesn’t need that many numbers to make a difference. A pally might not even be able to afford pressing their button too many times since without the support cards to draw the dragon right away, it’s a 2 mana do nothing.
Assuming it’s a match up where you expect steamcleaner (match ups like aggro probably won’t involve steamcleaner nor can a pally afford to 2 mana do nothing much), I expect the better way to play dragon/imbue pally is to keep maybe 2-4 shuffled dragons in deck, only pressing the button to keep it at that level. Just enough to make you resilient to board clears/removals, but not enough for steamcleaner to be that damaging. That 5 mana doesn’t do anything to the present board, and a 5/5 may not be very strong at that point in the game.

God willing that paladin class remains unplayable. The last thing this game needs is pallys to be anywhere near competitive
So these would all look ok if not for ursine maul + dragonscale armaments… The whole combo of Ursol + Renewing flames (or whatever other spell you want to use) is just too easy to tutor.
Add onto that the new defensive ‘mark of ursol’ (ask how well lock on works), and toreth + lumia + a bunch of other paladin defensive spells unless your deck is designed to win by turn 4 the whole thing is just going to be a painful obnoxious grind.
Hopefully theres a bunch of OTK decks forthcoming so I can just bypass paladin healing 10 for 5 turns straight since there is nothing in the game as of yet that can disrupt auras.
Meh, probably still less annoying than fighting a control warrior, who can also grind you while Hamm eats your cards, come back a couple times (along with unkilliax and probably a battlecruiser), and can go (way) above 30 health because armor. Oh and he probably has more total mana than you because druid tourist thing again.
Anyways, instead of renewing flames, consider shaladrassil. I don’t think playing ursol would corrupt it and then you cast the corrupted version of the spell, but even then, you just corrupt it first with another 8 drop, then play ursol. Better hope your hand is small.
Heck, if you have no more expensive spells, have ursoc replay corrupted awakening for 3 turns. 5 damage to all enemies especially ysera. Marin treasure is another consideration.
