I mine as well start playing battleground it same bull with standard how quick the match are. All it is now who kills each other first or does most broken thing possible.
battlegrounds is much slower than standard, game lasts until at least turn 10
Standard is nothing like BGs lol what da
How do you figure both do crazy stuff and standard the same way with minions. Plus the match’s are just as quick when it come to facing your opponent.
I think there is truth in what you say. Standard has become far more like BG’s over the past few expansions.
I just had DK with minion closed 30 attack and like 16 health it look like something I would face on battleground it was crazy.
Yet the same players in EACH mode continue to rise to the top at every reset. You only think there’s a huge amount of randomness. There’s far more control in BG’s than most will ever understand.
What does this prove, beyond the fact that some gamers only exist to do this?
I’m a very good Truck Driver. I can park a semi, or even a piggy-backed Double, almost anywhere.
I fail to see how your saying that the same gamers get to legend every month changes the fact that the Op is right.
The game is closer to BG’s than at any time before.
Look at hearthstone in past and now it big different from what used to be to now. Board used to matter and had plan your turns right now. Board doesn’t really matter anymore and blizzard just print all face damage and call it a day.
More decks kill from hand then anytime in hearthstone history it ether combo or otk decks that it. Game are so quick it over before you know it. Unless in to this decks your just drop hearthstone and see a lot doing if keep down this path.
I play 1-2 games of BG tops per day, and hit 8500 no problem. I know people who play 5+ games a day and are hard stuck at 6500.
Time played does not necessarily equate to overall skill in the game. I don’t play standard at all anymore, but if the complaint is that standard is becoming “random” or “luck-based” like BGs, I’d argue that there is not only no luck when looking at an entire season, but luck plays an extremely small part in your overall MMR. Everyone high rolls once in awhile; everyone low rolls once in awhile. The difference is turning those lowrolls from 8ths to 5ths and the high rolls from 3rds to 1sts.
Well, I understood the Op statement to be that Standard lately resembles BG’s in terms of power levels and busted cards.
If i was wrong, apologies.
Hearthstone used to be a fencing match. Advances and retreats, feints and lunges, parries and ripostes.
Now it’s rocket launchers at twenty paces. Whoever fires first wins and you don’t have to aim all that much.
After the patch when the recent buddies meta started BG’s was extremely well balanced with no real advantage beyond player skill.
As to your Truck Driving example. Yeah, you are that good at that because you have put in the work and practice and become good at the job. I was a long haul trucker for 25 years so i understand your point all too well. Players that put in the time and work to BG’s and standard will always do better than the average player. They are that good not because they are luck but because they understand the game.
I was commenting on someone yet again saying BG’s and Standard are 100% luck based and require no skill. That’s a completely ridiculous statement and position to take.
It is, and again, apologies for missing the point.
So Standard is the opposite of Battlegrounds
