After warlock reveal, Maestra is the worst tourist

Usually when they make a new mechanic, they want us to interact with that mechanic. It feels like they went out of there way to make all the warlock cards useless for rogue.
Not only that, but the tourist itself does nothing when games end before you can make use of a hero card. Are they so scared of rogue that they just decided it would be easier to make the tourist do nothing while other classes have access to a wider card pool? Its insane they didnt make at least 1 warlock card worth running in Rogue. The 1 drop is okay, but the fact the tourist is such a brick makes it frustrating to even try and make it work.
Im very dissapointed with the mini-set reveal showing there are no warlock cards rogue would even want to run

Maestra is the 4th most played Tourist. Now I don’t think it’s the 4th best, but it’s extremely hard to argue that the Warlock tourist is not the worst. It’s the least played and is absolutely atrocious.

I can’t think of any way not to argue that the Warlock Tourist isn’t the worst. And by far.

Darkmarrow at least has potential and gives them access to decent cards. I could see it being useful in the future if there was a deathrattle deck for warlock.

I think part of the issue is the warlock cards for pip are so fixated on the pain package that there just isnt enough support yet for a deathrattle deck.

Maestra may get better in the future if the game slows down, but it still has the least synergistic card pool of all the tourists to pull from.

Legendary · Minion · Perils in Paradise · Battlecry: If you

ive seen some crazy abuse of this by rogues in wild

Wild is a different story where you can stealth your hero, play evasion, vanish and go infinite with tess. then you cant really die anymore. You can even play kingsbane to avoid fatigue

you never said i couldnt say wild

every card in PIP is a must craft card due to the tourists

it may not be useful now

but with wild, it will be

You win
Im too amused with your posts in general to ever want to argue with you anyways xD

The new 2 mana spell that destroys a minion is definitely more fitting for rogue than any of the current warlock decks

Dunno about others, though

Most of the tourist cards are bad to the point where the ones that are good appear to be broken in comparison

I would have loved to have the original mage one that summons divine shield 2 drops

I really like hero cards and i want to play them. The games are just so fast that even if you are ahead, playing a 5 mana do nothing just invites your opponent right back into it

True, you can only hope the meta slows down in one if the coming expansions

Which i think will happen, since having a fast aggro meta for months doesnt seem like a smart business plan xd

Hey hey now, the warlock tourist is actually good imo, i run him in a rainbow warlock deck on my alt account. The inly reason i think it isnt played much is warlocks other decks overshadow it.

I am actually fairly confident the new lifesteal minion will be a staple in excavate rogue lists. It’s a velarok activator, recovery tool and decent shadowstep target if need be; plus rogue does often have decent minions to give lifesteal to on board.

It’s kinda copium since the card isn’t exactly fantastic but at least we have something new to play with that can work :man_shrugging:

Plus it might make amalgam more consistent!

eh, disagree. Rogue has trouble getting minions to stick and its a little too slow to combo with Velarok or heaven forbid rush minions

what I do think will be slotted in is the 2 mana tradeable temporary spell

Way too early to tell, but after 3 games of Drill rogue with Imployee in my deck I must say it has felt amazing so far. I destroyed a pirate shaman thanks to imployee’s sustain single-handedly (the aoe 2-mana excavate reward with lifesteal is insane vs token aggro, go figure) and a handbuff pala also thanks to staying out of reach of charge lethal thanks to imployee (and some lucky removals from Scorpion). Also beat a Flood Pala thanks to Gnomelia, but didn’t even draw imployee so doesn’t count.

I am running this list specifically to deal with noob ranks aggro decks:

because I don’t play drill rogue I have to ask, I see Frequency Oscillator in every drill rogue. Is the card good in the deck for getting drillee down 1 turn earlier or do you find it underwhelming in there, again I don’t play drill rogue just see every list run it and I don’t understand

It is a decent 1-drop in turn 1, it makes drilly safer to randomly draw from turn 3 onwards and allows you to play Pit stop + Drilly on turn 5 or Drilly + Showstep + Drilly on turn 5. The card accelerates a lot of what the deck does with the upside that is also a nice thing to drop on your first turn.
