After the heartstone update, I lost some legendary cards, and usually a lot of my decks are now missing (I play mainly in the wild).

The core set was changed this week.

If you happen to have some of those card in your decks then they are no longer valid because the core version of that card was changed.

Those cards were loaned to you by Blizzard as part of the 2023 Core set.

But Blizzard updated the Core set for 2024. Some cards were added and others were removed.

Be glad you were able to play with them for free for a whole year.
