Advice for defeating life-steal w Face Hunter

Hi, just returned after a 5 year break, used to watch streams, had rank 2 when it was out of 25, so i generally know how to trade minions, and the mechanics of cards, as well as being familiar with all of the core and standard cards.

Well i hit legend with Face Hunter, figured id go with an aggressive deck that has a pretty consistent win condition.

Here’s the issue: the ranks obviously got reset, and im not sure if it’s my MMR that got updated or simply everyone is already fighting to level up, but im getting SPANKED. Especially by, well everyone, but definitely life steal minions.

So far, ive been trying to remove them with my damage spells so i dont trigger them.. which feels so bad because i need those on the face.

Am i being too scared of the lifesteals? Should i go face anyway? Or is it very match specific? Are there tells as to how quick or slowly i should be playing?

I am still learning the new cards so its hard to predict what is coming.

Thanks

Just keep trying, also try mixing things up, play a different class

Hi, as the aggressive deck you want to go face as much as possible and close out the game in 6-8 turns. The games tend to be over much faster these days. Don’t spend too much time on their board. Aggro decks tend to fizzle out past the first few waves of damage, but that is just their nature. That’s why in my personal experience Aggro decks are mostly about the balance of drawpower + tempo.

You probably reached the decent mmr by winning many games and now you are facing the fact that aggro is close to be unplayable in this game if your opponents understand what they are doing.

If you insist on playing aggro, you should try Dragon Warrior, it’s at least viable.

If you want to play Hunter, pick Discover Hunter, it’s a midrange deck with tempo and combo elements.

If you want to climb, you’d better look at Hagatha Shaman, Control DK, Quest Warrior and choose something (maybe after watching streamers)

I mean, could always drop in a Deadly Shot or something…. not that I’d bother playing with Face Hunter at this point. It’s great if you like getting completely owned though, so there’s that. I came back to the game after a long break last month, and my current favorite thing is playing a stupid Asteroid Shaman and watching it rip through 50 points of armor on the lamest deck in the meta and possibly of all time (Quest Warrior).
