This is so ridiculous to be honest. Either rework plagues how they affect standard decks or add cards that can counter them.
Your rigged matchmaking put DK with control decks 200% uptime. And they already spammed your deck with 6 plagues by turn 3.

The tech card will come out in the set that comes with the rotation of plagues out of standard. That’s how Blizzard rolls with tech a day late and a dollar short. We either get the tech when its no longer relevant or we get a tech but its overcosted and unplayable.
The problem is that if you do that you make the meta completely lopsided with Highlander decks. Within a week of the card being playable there will be 100 topics on every forum on the internet complaining about the meta being 60-75% Highlander decks. Nobody wants that.
If there are too many DKs, then don’t play highlander anymore. It’s super simple. The tech is to play anything faster than a rock and you beat plague decks easily.
The only reason there are so many of them is people stupidly keep playing bad highlander decks into them.
If there’s no decks to feed on, they will become unplayable, you can play some highlander, then repeat the cycle.
Well, there will pretty much always be decks to feed on, since most metas are not one deck type metas. There’s usually one dominant fast deck type (aggro usually, but could be a fast combo), and one dominant slow deck type. Sometimes the former exists to counter the latter. Sometimes it’s the other way around. And if we’re lucky you might get the odd third or more other deck types that survive.
Plague DK is probably that third deck type. It has a niche in countering a large set of slow decks (not necessarily just highlander)
I don’t think plagues are OP per say. I just think they’re becoming real stale real fast. At least like highlander warrior switched out the old asta for tendrils or more bombs or whatever. Plague DK isn’t particularly new anymore.
Besides the fact that Tentacle Brann Warrior is a meme deck it’s really not all that different from how they played Astalor and won the game. They only have one extra step and that’s survive the turn 7 tentacle killing them. I don’t think we have to worry about that deck really being an issue though. The numbers say that the current Dr Boom Brann is far better of a deck.
If they nerf Bran and Reno Hero, they can bring Back Steamcleaner to Standard 
If not, Plagues are just fine 
plagues are fine, but not when DK spam them into your deck on turn 2. These cards should cost 4 mana at least. Not 2.

You all act as if you were main-decking Steamcleaner back when it was in Standard.
It was merely an inclusion for ETC that became inconsequential by the time you actually drew it.
Try playing a deck genuinely capable of defeating the low-tier Plague DK, rather than just relying on a tech choice to cope.
