Opponent shuffled 15 eruptions into empty deck which were drawn at end of turn through needlerock totem. My acolyte triggered card draw endlessly despite being dead after the first eruption draw. The acolyte reached -7 HP before my hero was killed through fatigue.
I don’t believe this is a bug.
When an effect triggers multiple events, minion death is not checked until the ENTIRE sequence of events is finished.
Some cards (e.g. Defile) are an exception to this rule, and check for minion death after each separate event. But that is not the norm.
But asteroids, as any other “deal damage to a random ennemy” effects are unable to hit a target with less than 1 hp, which should not allow for what has been described
Here’s an example : https://youtu.be/uHazYXa_meM?si=-71iO0IaJ0G9t_x6&t=567
The asteroids stop dealing damage when all ennemies are “dead” which allows for them to heal back with plagues after all asteroids have been drawn. If they were able to hit already “dead” ennemies, plagues would have not been enough to heal in positive (and/or it would waste some asteroids on dead ennemies instead of alive ones)
Asteroids?
I was responding to the post about Eruption, not Asteroids.
Eruption specifically says it damages all enemies. It does not choose random targets.
whops, my bad, didn’t understand what card it was about
Yeah subsequent aoes are still able to damage “dead” minions
