Abyssal Curse is the unfun

To play against and to play.

I like passive play styles but there’s no way to counter it after it starts to snowball. Once you get to 4 damage, it’s pretty much over. Even casting it time out of my hand the first turn I get it means nothing, it still counts up with the next cast.

If anything, it should not increase if you cast it the first turn you get it and make the decision to waste mana more meaningful.

Right now it’s just meme and exhausting to play against.

Nah it’s fun.

Fun to use to curse at your opponents.

And especially fun to go against if you’re using questline warlock.

Which would then make it utterly useless, much like a complaint thread offering unreasonable solutions to a problem. Nothx.

I pretty much concede as soon as I see a curse now, ok your playing edge lord warlock, k bye.

Ok you have 8 cards In hand they give you 2 curses which then mills your next card.

you take the damage regardless.

You then have the choice of dumping the curse or not.

dropping the curse then allows them to give you another curse. playing another card lets them give you another curse.

I have no idea of the solution but I do not find it fun.

Want to know a secret to counter it? Play warlock quest you auto win!

Except these are the same broken nerds that got applied to Beast Hunter because people couldn’t work around the dredge mechanic.

It would not make it useless to not ramp damage as you have to burn 2 mana each time. Most games end on playing either a 10 drop or playing cards equal to 8-10 mana in total. Constantly making your opponent decide on HP or mana would make it more engaging.

Sounds like you just don’t want to lose an OP archetype

Somewhere along the lines, Blizzard developers decided that it was more important that games end than them be fun, and here we are.

You shouldn’t concede. You should rope the hell out of them.

Or better yet, stop playing Hearthstone and boycott it.

But yeah, people complain about Denathrius and Theotar. But, they’re not the only problems. The entire meta is an abomination of anti-fun cards and decks
