About the new signature cards

Isn’t a complete waste that they aren’t animated ?!

The whales who use them will most likely have a ton of golden cards, didn’t they realize a golden deck doesn’t fit at all with the signature cards ?!

Good concept but poorly executed

Summarize the entire history of Hearthstone in five words or less, Bee, go!

Bro… post of the decade right there. Well done!

As an artist, I kind of disagree. The diamond cards seemed gaudy and garish to me, while these signature cards seem like the diamond card idea re-vamped and done with more class and more value to the art.

The lack of animation is unfortunate, but it could have something to do with the unique frame and shape of the window, and how the art bleeds down behind the writing, idk.

I hope they are successful, but also imagine there will be some complaints like this about them.

As I hearthstone, player I would like them to spend less time making art to sell and more time fixing the game.

I’m still chuckling about this, man.

Excellent summary of the last 8 years.

Animated or not, why do they look so bad?
Why are they in black and white?
I prefer the basic version of invincible (the only signature card I saw) from an artistic point of view; I don’t get why they changed the art to make it worse

it wouldve been better if the signature cards were alternate arts for the cards instead

like skins for cards

I thought the Signature cards were alternate full frame art? Aren’t they?

The only thing I thought was a waste is that technically, the original selling point of the Hearthstone interface was that circular frames when you played the cards on the board gave you more of a “full” view of the art, so it seems like these signature cards are just the same concept, just outside the game you can look at some more full art. I wasn’t that impressed when they revealed they were doing this, other than maybe alternate art being used.

I still stick by what I said elsewhere.
I think Team5 is pulling a Fox Studios move, and milking as much money as possible in advance of the MS sale.
The frames on these cards look terrible to me.

MTG also does multiple types of cosmetics. Foils, Full size art, and Full size art Foils.

They have even sold cosmetic versions of regular lands for fairly high prices.

We know Iksar was playing MTG, so we can guess who might have spearheaded this.
