About Pure Paladin linear design

This isn’t fun to talk about but sometimes we kinda have because i feel like no one will talk about the real problem if i don’t.

There is little to no learning curve into playing Pure paladin and some other decks.

The problem:
If i give the deck for a 4 year old to play the performance will be almost the same as any player.

Why is this a problem?

  1. It frustrates people who are making effort to learn to play the game better.

  2. It is almost a sentence on making players who earned ranks they don’t deserve to quit when those decks get nerfs that makes they lose nonstop.

Yes, it’s bad in the long term even for players who use.

The solution:
Stop making that type of deck. Hearthstone isn’t Rocket science but those decks are a new low even for hearthstone.

The help new players need are pre made decks , packs and in game resources.

Not a deck that prevents they from learning to play.

I fully agree. If one has a desire to not learn the game, playing the current pure paladin builds will certainly help achieve that goal. Pretty much bottom of the barrel imo.

Cross posting this on all paladin related threads as a PSA.

I disagree the all to famous Pali Secret deck of yesteryear was just as bad and even easier to play then the current deck.

Required face rolling on a keyboard to win.

The problem with pure paladin vs something like miracle rogue or enrage warrior is in the latter you need to actually setup your payoff with good plays and timing. Pure paladin jdoes it for you on the deck building level which makes the game easier more boring and limits your deck design options.

Stopped reading. Using children as your control group sounds stupid. This is a video game, its for children. To say that a deck is bad because children can pilot it?

Your analogies need work.

In their defense. There’s quite a range in capabilities amongst the people designated as children.

As the parent of one, I can say most 4 yr olds could not, in fact, play this game. At least not well enough to win.

But if I were to try and get them a win, pure paladin would absolutely be my pick. It’s the ultimate green card go deck.

Not to children that young.

i dont understnad a solution to…what ? seems ll your issues with it are all made up

specially the one telling us you think people playing a deck you dont like dont reserve to earn ranks

Sure…

I said fair and simple.

If you don’t learn to play the game during the process then what is the point of a rank system to start ?

But of course anything presented is just someone having a pet peeve and many from lower ranks getting mad about it even before the miniset is an ilusion.

That deck will get a nerf , a decent amount of relatively new players will quit the game exactly for that reason when it gets nerf and that is it.

It not contributes in absolutely nothing while annoying people engaging with the game at a base level.
If that isn’t enough to warrant not design like this anymore then i don’t know what does.

They could of nerfed it TWICE and didn’t touch it so don’t hold your breath Minami.
