Now the math people can’t really calculate whether or not this is better or worse (looking at previous numbers, I deduce that it changes nothing).
We already had seasonal events so Blizzard just wanted to freeze the current situation with an official response full of vague promises.
Also… Kerfuffle confirmed that they intentionally introduced the new reward system the way it is, it wasn’t a mistake.
It’s their ‘1st version’.
I hope playing that version of blizzard also has the hidden effect of stealing your opponent’s wallet

Ok, but why this is a mage card 
Real reason: probably just laziness taking the blizzard spell card, which is a mage spell, and then slapping on the togwaggle image without modifying the mage card background
Joke reason: gotta give mage players something to cry and spin conspiracy theories about. (e.g “Everybody’s hating on Bliz right now, are you saying everybody hates us mages too? WRRRRYYY”)
