A sincere apology to the devs

You’re 100% right. This is the single thing HS did that was amazing. But, I think it fair to say that all else this expansion was a fiasco.

I have to disagree with you here. Doing what’s right is always the correct thing to do no matter what. That is the problem with the world today not enough people do this. Hint’s why the world is where it’s at.

It’s all right. I get it.
Certain things get me riled up a little too much, as well.

Yeah, I don’t have the right herbs for philosophy these days lol

This is a tautology.

Not about the balancing for me. They doing quick fix here and there which is awesome. Dupe protection also nice.

But adventure on top of expansion and battleground perks? Plus a new class so extra couple legendary per expansion? Thats a new low for me.

I think morality should be relatively simple for most. For example?
Feeding someone hungry, good.
Suggesting one use disinfectants internally? bad.

Are we gonna start the meme here too?

You might gonna open the flood gate.

Oops. Did I do that?

Dunno, but my troll nature really want some popcorn right now.

Dang, make me some too!

I think the criticism is something the own corporation created when they just passed over the devs insight like an truck because:

“Community said they want this”.

Over time people got more and more entitled because every time blizzard actually did take this decision at incorrect situations they constructed an culture of “the internet is always right” while also creating an pretty hostile environment for everyone with any actual insight to share.

It not matters how dumb some people get when talking about design.

If the majority of people on social media agreed that stonetusk boar should be an 30/30 with charge then it would happen.

There is some truth in what you say. I believe the gaming community has had a significant amount of influence over the development and revision of cards.

It always had.
It’s just that over the years it got to an point that it got even more obvious than the norm because blizzard noticed that there was no necessity to hide it.

How you actually differentiate an interesting situation in the metagame from an actually toxic scenario?

Why that question?

Every situation has to be caused by an card, deck or class presence.
In other words any scenario is “shaped” by something.

That is why I think that far more important than something having power to shape an entire be metagame around it is what exactly it creates around it.

If an card being overpowered creates an scenario that everyone can play many decks maybe it should stay overpowered for the sake of the game diversity instead of tone down the entire game diversity just because of a single card change.

If you say to me that community will barely understand something like this instead of want “DEVS” to destroy their own game I just gonna laugh really hard.

playing the devil’s advocate here, since discussing philosophy and politics in a gaming forums is super relevant to… something i’m sure.

in the same paragraph, just 1 sentence apart, you judged something Black (corporate actions) and procedded to say that you should never do so.

Again, playing the devils advocate here, maybe “corporate” is in the exact same bind as the devs (thatcorpotrate has chained down) by their stockholders. Who in turn, are chained down by something else, which in turn is binded by something other.

and the chain trickles down and down, till it loops back and continue ad infinity.

It’s true that you should almost never judge something in black and white, and exactly because of that, it is FALSE to say that devs are completely “innocent” for this fiasco and “corporate” is to blame for everything.

Your position is interesting and probably more accurate than I would care to admit but, I think anyone who can remain silent in the face of what has gone on in Corporate America, particularly in the past four years, is not someone I have a great deal of sympathy for.
Others wrote about how the choice was a deal with the devil or unemployment. I can say with no doubt that I will always choose unemployment. I believe that turning a blind eye to those who break Our Laws and moral guidelines perpetuates a culture that believes itself immune to any oversight of any kind.
In short; were I a developer, my dim opinion of Activision would impel me to find another job.
