A short tip on surprising card interactions

“When deck building sometimes you might stumble upon surprising card interactions; this can also occur while getting better at piloting decks. Some interactions are quite obvious, but some can be interactions that didn’t seem apparent, and can be quite surprising to be sure.”

Here is an example of such an interaction, and while possibility apparent to experienced players, it can be useful to look for if your a new player looking to build your own deck from scratch, or modifying a pre-existing one…

Baron Geddon -
Legendary · Minion · Core · At the end of your turn, deal 2 damage to ALL other characters.

Deals 2 damage automatically on your turn. Okay but why would you want to deal 2 damage to all characters on the board? There can be a few reasons to include him in your deck, but here is a surprising interaction.

Plague Scientist -

This Mad Scientist can give any minion “Poisonous”. (NOTE: IT DOESN’T WORK ON DORMANT OR STEALTHED, OR MINIONS THAT STATE THEY CAN’T BE TARGETED BY SPELLS)

Give Baron Geddon poisoning, and any minion that can be hit with spell damage will be destroyed.
Also, though it targets your hero for damage, it also targets your opponent’s “face” too.
(NOTE: WHEN MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER IS TARGETED IT COUNTS AS AN AoE “Area Of Effect” SPELL AND WILL HIT A STEALTHED MINION IN THIS CASE, DORMANT STILL AREN’T EFFECTED)

“This is just a short tid bit from me to you. Finding new card interactions, or learning them from netdecks can be extremely rewarding for finding ways to include the interacting cards into your deck, or piloting a pre-existing deck. Keep an eye out…”

Apotheosis on a Runaway Blackwing makes its ‘end of turn 9 damage’ lifesteal.

It would work similarly on this Baron boi.
