I was pretty decent at BG before the introduction of Undead, and it’s not what you might think; I try virtually every game to get as much extra gold from corpse refiner as i can, often at the detriment of coming in 4th or higher… i don’t even care, i have goals – i want to get a 100 extra gold from that thing
Does anyone else have this problem too? Is the lure of cashing in 20-30+ extra gold in a turn too tempting to turn away from?

This is supremely unrelatable. As in, I find the meme animation of Yoda smashing “himself” with a rock slightly more relatable, and that’s something so degenerate I dare not embed it here. It’s as if there is a part of you that is trying to sabotage your own play as much as possible, and you are feeding it instead of trying to stomp it like the absolute cockroach it is. I will never again take any post you make about strategy or balance seriously, ever.
I think it can be safely done with the right pool, hero and shops, of course. Greybough with the other six minions with DRs. Or maybe a comp with the T2 DR Rats + Rivendare. Essentially, you want to guarantee as much as possible your pirate/undead goes dead last. The hardest factor is the fact the pirate/undead is an Avenge (4). Steep.
20gold and live to tell the tale? Probably a decent chance with good RNG. 30g? Maybe with a golden pirate/undead.

It’s impossible. You can’t trigger an Avenge 4 four times a round, and three times is really pushing it. But even if we assume 3 triggers a round (which is already crazy), there has never in the history of Battlegrounds has a lobby lasted 35 rounds. Frankly if you got one to 30 it might be a world record.
The Avenge is a lot, but it shouldn’t take 35 rounds to make it 20 gold. It’s already sitting @ 1. If you combine two sitting on the board into a Triple, they combine the gold and then you gain two gold per four minions as the Avenge. I think it’s possible. Chances of getting there before someone kills you? I assume pretty slim.
Haha fair. I wouldn’t say i’m trying to Sabotage myself. It’s more like my primary goal is stacks, and 4th or higher is my secondary goal
