A not so fun E.V.IL fun fact

Cheez pointed out how many hero cards everyone has. Now I’mma do my rant about something OCD I noticed. But first a quick history lesson. When Rise of Shadows first came about and they were making reprints of villains the devs explicitly stated, you can see this literally on the wiki page for Rise of Shadows at the bottom: “the team wanted the set to revolve around the League of E.V.I.L. as a whole and for each member to shine in their own space, rather than have one member “steal the show” by being a hero card.” Well, I’m bout to make them eat their words. League of E.V.I.L rolecall time!
Rafaam gets 3-4 different prints. Arch-Villain Arch-Thief and Imp king infused n uninfused. And 3 different hero skins
Hagatha gets 4. Magatha, Swampqueen, Fabled, and a hero card
Dr Boom gets 5-7. OG, Inventor, Blastmaster, replicator-inator x3 and a hero card
Toggwaggle only gets 2, King and Heistbaron. Nothing else (Give me Rakinishu as a card print PLEASE)
And last but interesting enough to warrant me making this thread so not least: Madame Lazul only has 1! Her first appearance was in Rise of Shadows when the league was first formed! also 2 hero skins for some reason.
So what does this all mean? See… I been calling Toggwaggle the underdog of the group but it seems I am numerically incorrect. Either Madame Lazul was the weakest member of the group and never learned any new tricks over the years, or her one trick was so perfect that she came back around to being the most powerful one in the league, just not the most versatile.

Food for thought:

Epic · Spell · The Witchwood · Deal 3 damage to a minion. If that kills it, add a Coin to your hand.

Legendary · Minion · undefined · Whenever a player casts a spell, put a copy into the other player’s hand.

Play garbage spells and coins and…

Legendary · Spell · The Boomsday Project · Draw the rest of your deck.

Legendary · Minion · Kobolds and Catacombs · Battlecry: Swap decks with your opponent. Give them a Ransom spell to swap back.

All you gotta do is play a trash deck so when you give it to your opponent it does nothing xD

I’mma bookmark all your ideas, you just may be the light that brings Toggwaggle outta the dark for me. I can’t believe the best way to play Toggwaggle is to go full kobold mode and be greedy
Incidentally I recently found out The Darkness goes from impossible to wake up to impossible to NOT wake up when shudderblocked

There are even better coin givers too now. Plus scoundrels for more discounts

I dont have a list anymore, but mostly cycle and vanish

Plus marin and maybe galakrond for cycle that discounts your combo pieces.

Sometimes a warm-up cho turn ending in a vanish or shadowstep on cho can help fill an enemy hand some before you pop-off

Expect to lose xD. a trashy deck like this is a double-edged sword

Hmmmm what other rogue strat do we know that has a coin kink but doesn’t usually expect a win. Oh yeah, Wishing well Rogue. Maybe tossing those guys in a well deck might do it some good. I’m all about throwing busted combos into decks that didn’t need it yet synergized perfectly off it.
My brothers got a nasty highlander wishing well deck that uses arfus and Eudora believe it or not. I might have to name drop Togg to him again eventually. See the story of why I was selling him short was we tried using King Toggwaggle and steamcleaner together before not knowing they patched that erm… exploit(?) they had together? And immediately backed off. Wonder if any other E.V.I.L genius had any funny tricks they had to nerf

People just suck at piloting it

That sums up half of standard. Odyn warrior, time dragon priest, and DEFINITELY all the other handbuffing gitz all had the potential to be the class that kicked mage back to the curb but nobody could put two braincells together when optimizing them. Y’know why I only have TWO invoke galakrond cards in my old priests deck? Cause that’s all I needed even before creation protocol gave me the minimum FOUR needed for a max charged galakrond reveal. Look at Party planner’s cost, that’s only 4 uses of your hero power. Y’know why I didn’t use patches the plunderer, zilliax deluxe, or marin the manager in the shudderblock deck? Cuz I didn’t have to!
Y’know how I figured all that out? And I cannot stress this enough
YOU. DON’T. NEED. TO. OVER. INVEST.
Never under ANY circumstances go all in on just ONE master plan, look at Rafaam, he always had multiple different plans, plagues, shenanigans, and thievery going on all at once! Any one of those classes could have been the david to that goliath if they just tried. I pity the taunt handbuff warriors I see cuz I automatically know they didn’t side splice testing dummies into the deck and still think Zilliax alone is a game winner
