Buying tavern tickets currently subtracts your gold but does not grant tavern tickets.
Just lost 600g to this.

Just had this same problem. Tried to purchase 2 Area tickets, the transaction didn’t work. Closed out and reopened the application, tried to buy 1 ticket, same thing. 450g wasted.
