6 New Priest Cards

Looks like everyone’s favorite thing: COPY PRIEST

combined with everyone’s other favorite thing: Resurrect Priest.

On the plus side, this time Priest is copying their own cards.

So, perhaps it’s a bit more Pogo-maton Priest.

It also does seem like they’ve decided to give Priest a weird mix of riffs on previous Mage and Rogue cards for some reason.

Well, that’s only with this package alone. Consider Identity Theft and the other stuff in standard right now, it’s still copying the opponent’s minions as well. And then resurrecting them again.

Creation Protocol will make me rage, but the rest of these seem pretty bad.

Student of the Stars: Druid’s Bottomfeeder never saw play so I doubt that this will. Even with Creation Protocol.

Creation Protocol: probably the best reveal by far, since you can get extra copies of Aman’thul. Which are summoned by Ra-den. Priest can afford to Forge.

Astral Automaton: a worse Pogo-hopper in a slower class.

False Disciple: Temporus whoo! Benedictus boo!

Shapeless Constellation: get yourself some more Aman’thuls. And Ra-dens!

Ra-den: agonizingly slow but will make things like Student and Automaton playable.

Like Aegaeon said, usually I’d rather Priest copy their own cards than mine. But this time you can copy Aman’thul before you draw it. Creation Protocol will probably be insane.

I also think it’s pretty funny that the Control Priest we have now would annihilate any Priest that went all-in with this strategy. Control Priest is sucking the life out of its own class with things like Shard of the Naaru, Drown, Svalna, and Whirlpool.

I think the biggest win here is Creation Protocol and Ra-den combined with all the other copy stuff Priest has.

Plenty of games where I summon a copy of my Colossal to heal up. Ra-den dying and then summoning 2 Colossals would be pretty devastating.

Now that I think about it, Control Priest will just slot in Ra-den to get extra copies of your Titans again. Sigh.

TFW you play Primus once, and Priest summons 4.

The Automaton package looks fun. Only run 3 minions, automaton, Raden, and 1 other (maybe ETC), they try and play as many automatons as possible, then just raden, copy it, kill it. Each raden that dies gives your automatons +7/+7. Might be too slow but it definitly sounds fun

Exactly. And if Creation Protocol hits Ra-Den…now you have 3 of him.

If you put Ra-den into ETC, then played it and used Synchronize on it, could you then go infinite with Ra-den? Assuming you never got silenced and Hound Hunter didn’t beat your face in during all those turns?

No because Ra-den is only OTHER minions. So Ra-den can’t summon himself ever.

Given how finicky things like “copy” are for Priest cards I wouldn’t be surprised if it slipped through.

Any DK running Primus basically has to never play it against copy Priest. If Priest gets Primus titan, it can basically make their health go so crazy high. You can summon multiple Primus on 1 turn and then just destroy minions and gain their health.

You could also Primus, target Ra-Den, Primus again immediately.

With every word you type I feel the vomit rising.

EDIT: Khaz’goroth confirmed most playable Titan because Priest will never copy that.

lol Before it’s all said and done, I will figure out an infinite loop here somewhere. They definitely were right not to make him Undead, that’s all I’m saying. You would instantly go infinite.

Galaxy brain strategy: Play Warlock and let your opponent copy Sargeras over and over, then let the Priest boardlock themselves with Nether Portals that leave no space for imps.

It’s genius!

So already, the titan with the Ra-den is a nasty combo.

You play Ra-den, your opponent likely doesn’t want to kill it. They better though. Because if they don’t, you play the Titan and copy it.

Everyone has to worry about playing Titans against Priest.

Seems like they were just teasing us with the cards before weren’t they? xd

Student of the Stars: I don’t see Priest running this because the Class has no easy way to access the copies. Also the mirror doesn’t play until fatique anymore which would be the only usage for this card.

Creation Protocol: Correct me if i’m wrong, but i think you can’t Discover Aman’thul from Discover effects. I’m guessing this doesn’t apply here though because it’s from your own deck?
if that is the case, Ra-den becomes really scary, being able to resummon Aman’thul.
It’s a good card that helps Priest get access to specific minions quicker if needed. If not you can take it slow to get anoter copy of the copy as well.
4/5

Astral Automaton: Maybe i’m missing something but this is super weak? Why would you want to waste Synchronise,Creation Protocol etc. for this weak of an effect?
0/5 ?

False Disciple: Now we are cooking. This looks very fun and very … strong? There are a lot of strong Priest Legendary minions from the past and the fact that it is Discover strengthens the cards power. Might actually see play.
4/5

Shapeless Constellation: Definetely worth of Epic. xd
Strongest hits:
Behemoth,
Aman’thul,
Catrina (if there will be a deck),
Zilliax (i’m just cooking here don’t take this too seriously xd)
Kologarn (the power level drops a bit here xd)
Nepulon
etc.
Very cool card!
3.5/5

Ra-den: Great card. Works well with Aman’thul, Behemoth and God knows whatever else somebody wants to cook with. 6 mana is very cheap as well.
Biased 5/5

Not random generation. But you can discover from your deck a copy. So yes, you can hit your Titan and now you have 3 with 2 immediately in hand.

And yes, Ra-den would then resummon your Titan, and your Titan then copies that. It is infinite there if the opponent doesn’t do something about Ra-den and THEN the entire board.

This is a NASTY combo.

So you get a copy of your Titan. Play it.
Play Ra-Den.
Ra-Den will forever resummon the Titan when it dies, and the Titan can immediately make another copy.

This will be disgusting.
