Just released so will post pictures here when they update
2 mana spell
Verse Riff
Give your Hero +2 attack
Gain 2 armor
Finale: Play your last Riff
3 mana spell
Chorus Riff
Draw a Minion.
Give it +2/+2
Finale: Play your last Riff
6 mana spell
Bridge Riff
Summon a 3/4 with Taunt
Summon a 4/3 with Rush
Finale: Play your last Riff
These actually seem really good with lots of curve tempo if you manage to play them with the Finale

It’s really not bad. great value. but 0 synergy with the legendary spell.

I think you have to have a lot of 1 mana stuff in your deck. Finale isn’t going to be that easy to pull off, and you can only do it once a turn. So if you have 7 mana and you pull the 6 mana Riff, you have to use 1 mana first. Your deck needs to have flex.
But on the other hand, if you play 2 in the same turn, you get the effect of 3 riffs. So with 5 mana on turn 5 you can play Chorus Riff and Draw a minion and gain +2/+2…then play Verse Riff and gain +2 attack +2 armor and then you get to draw another minion and give it +2/+2.
That’s pretty sweet.

Btw what does play your last riff mean? last in deck, or last played? not completely clear, most likely the last one.

Yes, the last Riff you played.

A sweet turn 8 play is
Play Bridge Riff:
Gain 3/4 taunt and 4/3 rush
Play Verse Riff:
Gain +2 attack +2 armor
Then you immediately gain another 3/4 taunt and 4/3 rush.
That’s pretty dang good value for 8.

Chorus Riff is okay with the legendary spell, since you need to be able to get those buffed minions in the first place.
Bridge Riff is fair, which is unfortunate. Fair isn’t good enough.
Verse Riff is not great…
I’m guessing the Finale repeats the most recent Riff spell? So these are basically only good enough if you hit the Finale.
No build synergy with the legendary spell, no synergy with taunt package, and no replacement for Outrider’s Axe, Frozen Buckler, Shield Shatter, and any core things (Shield Block/Brawl/Slam/Bash/Execute). Not a good sign.
Still nothing to really displace Tony Warrior as the only relevant Warrior idea. These will probably see play if only because Warrior has nothing else.
Things like this make me keep circling back to the fact that Blood DK is one of the most popular decks in the game despite being awful at this moment.
If anybody thinks for one second that a Blood DK will even bat an eyelash at that turn 8, they’re kidding themselves. Even the new Warlock Soloist can basically handle that by itself.
Yeah, I don’t think it’s particularly strong, and certainly not enough to give warrior the punch it needs now from what I can see.
But, these, along with some of the buff stuff like the legendary spell, are moving Warrior into a better place than it is right now. The question is, is it enough? Personally, I don’t think so.
I feel like if Warrior was at a power level 1 out of 10 before the expansion, this pushes it at least to a 3. We need some really good removal stuff. If we can get good removal with big minion stats on taunts, we might have something.

About 6 days until the next Warrior reveal…still holding out for that weapon and some new removals. And hopefully some way to tutor BRnR.
Bet it’s a 3/2 3 mana, play a firespell to upgrade, deathrattle: deal (1) damage to all enemy minions. upgrade bla bla.
They have to be careful though. a Turn 5 BRnR into a turn 6 Fleshshaper can be pretty brutal. Turn 6 9/14 and 9/14 is a scary thought.
However, you need to burn your turn 5 AND still have 5 armor…tricky to do. I feel like the balance in power makes up for it.
These are interesting and pretty fun to be honest. Not really sure of how this would look in practice, we still need to see the rest of the reveals and the core set. In a vacuum, these cards seem tier C at best if played out of curve but become somewhere around A tier with the finale. It is all very board based and we all know how easily boards can be dealt with these days.
All in all, I like the concept, not sure how it all comes together in practice. I am missing a way to directly handbuff your minions. It would be perfect if one of these riffs had a handbuff effect instead but maybe that’s a bit much.
They said in a recent podcast that they will be looking to support control warrior and to bring some of its old glories to the core set. I am pretty sure they will reveal control cards + the weapon
The 3 mana riff is good, the 2 mana riff is good enough. The 6 mana riff? Thats gotta be buffed to 5 mana
Verse Riff should be 1 mana. Sword and Board was 1 mana that could go through taunt and didn’t risk damaging your own face. Claw is a Classic Druid card for 1 mana.
These should all be one mana less, at least.

It looks as though Warrior may be making a comeback next expansion, hopefully.
The first riff you play is gonna be the worst. After that, I think a 1 mana cast your last riff would be pretty insane, maybe too good. The 6 mana one is just real bad though. If this package isnt good though, I expect it to get the Relic treatment.

Yeah, this seems like Relic style of play. It’s 6 cards total that need to work together. If they aren’t doing well, I can definitely see a buff in the future. That’s definitely a plus. You can’t just let 6 cards flop and be ok with it. You gotta give them enough oomf to see play.
