Most disappointing cards so far tbh, and I say that as a rogue ‘main’. Not a lot to do with these.
this thing getting cheated out and copied on board is the payoff
i for one already have a dark templar deck in mind

The best I can think of in a quick way is to: draw them with the spell that makes them cost 4, use the pirate min that reduces them to 1 and copy them with sonya for a 0 to make the 8/8 but still it’s at least a turn 6 or 7 play and you’ll be long dead by then.
Really dissappointed but I guess that if you’re not a Shaman or Paladn player you get the raw end of the stick in this game lately, and if by some miracle it’s viable we’ll get nerfs inmidiatly.
At least it’s not burgle oriented
I feel like rogue is paying a tax for what are now crud cards in the 4/3 pirate and sonya, and are paying to hard a tax for shadowstep.
You cant just play one of the templars and expect it to live one turn not even the stealth one, to many ways to kill stealth minions now and days
Maybe there will be a neutral templar card?
Or do amalgama count as a templar, but templar aint a minion type so prob not
edit: nevermind, i forgot all the multiclass cards that can discount the rogue stuff like the templars my bad felloiws
Reddit almost immediately theorycrafted the following
Blink to draw a templar and discount it by 2. With protoss location (-3), that templar becomes 1 mana aka Sonya ready
Usual shadow step and the pirate can also discount by 2 and 3 respectively
For style/tilting-your-opponent, use quasar somehow.
Those Rogue cards are an obvious attempt to make the class more high-mana based than its current high-APM nature. That Archon is strong. Are there tools to easily make multiple Archons?
6 mana get discounted by 2 down to 4 mana, if you played it with sandbox scoundrel mini and Sonya for 3 mana you could get an archon. The problem is getting there before being overrun by aggro decks. 4 damage board clear or 2 single minion removal should probably a decent payoff I think by turn 6?
Might work with the current cycle rogue shell using tar slick fan of knives oracle.

You all act as if rogue is a bad class. The decks are often the best in the game but their skill cap is high so most players below the top 100 players online misplay them big time.
The Devs are closer to avoiding making it OP rather than suppressing it.
I wouldnt say its garbage before trying it and seeing how these minions feel with all the ways you can discount protoss minions

She had to be butchered for the sin of being a rogue legendary that doesn’t suck.
Sonya was butchered for the sin of bad card design. Thankfully they haven’t learned their lesson and decided to make mana cheat the main feature of this miniset.
However everything looks so boring I doubt anyone will care to play this stuff until the rotation when they’re forced to due to lack of other options, even if giving rogue more reloadable removal is a mistake.
Although can anyone confirm that nebula has been buffed by being able to summon archon?
