Yep, it was such a cool unit in the game and they made it so boring. Disappointing.
My Standard big res priest can really work with these tho. I might play these a lot.

i look forward to turning a mothership into a frog but do not look forward to being swarmed by motherships, hallucinations of motherships and protoss units galore
I recall the Mothership being pretty disappointing for most of Starcraft 2’s lifespan. Came out too late to see play in most matches, and was mostly just an overcosted Arbiter when you could afford it.
Yeah the unit was never really worth the hassle. But it was pretty cool is all I am saying lol.
For what it’s worth, I think the Hearthstone version looks pretty cool. From the wording of the card, it looks like it can give you Protoss minions from other classes, and most of those are pretty powerful. If you can get enough cost reduction and copy effects rolling, you could roleplay a whole Protoss army.

Judging by the card art, it’s based off of the most common usage of Hallucination- creating a Phoenix hallucination to scout.
One of the coolest cards in the miniset.
