3 New Mage Cards

Rare · Spell · Murder at Castle Nathria · Secret: When your opponent plays a minion, Counter it.

Rare · Spell · Murder at Castle Nathria · Remove a minion from the game.

Common · Minion · Murder at Castle Nathria · Costs (3) less for each Secret you control.

The secret support is strong in these cards. Counterspell but for Minions seems incredibly strong. Also gives a good secret for Orion to bounce between.

Life sentence I dont quite understand the mechanics of… Is it like silence/destroy a minion, but res effects dont trigger? If thafs the case its like polymorph that doesnt summon a sheep.

i think the second card is if i am correct a complete removal of a minion fromthe game… so basically no ress mechanic should work which means it is a permanent removal.

It’s a poof, like what the Reno hero did. No deathrattles, no resurrection triggers, no infuse advancement. Just…poof.

Yup, just bye bye. Can’t be brought back in any iteration and there are no further interactions with that minion.

The power increase in game is growing faster than inflation in real life

That is exactly what the rogue secret should be but with the disavantage the opponent can recover the minion from the bag because rogue secrets are cheaper, will be a lot more playable and make way more sense that way instead doubling battlecries for the opponent.

Wow, that’s bonkers 4 mana removal.

Denatrius need Life Sentence IRL.

Bruh, Hearthstone is slowly becoming more and more like Yu-Gi-Oh with these banish mechanics…The power-creep is real.

Give mages more obnoxious stuff please. Because dealing with frozen boards isn’t annoying enough. Now they have counter minion and poof a minion. I’m calling it, mage will be the most hated class in the game after this next release.

Agreed why they would make copy and paste Okani’s counter into a mage secret is beyond anyone’s comprehension.

Mages dont run Polymorph, why would they run this?

Because this don’t help any infuse card the opponent have, Polymorph does.

Because it doesn’t leave behind a minion that you need to ping?

Objection gets its own post - my first pitch was “After your opponent spends 5 or more Mana in a turn, end their turn”. I wanted to push the envelope of what we could do with disruptive Secrets, and that went too far haha. The current design is a lot healthier, but still spicy

phew!im glad they didnt went with his first pitch

jesus christ what are these people thinking, getting punished for spending mana? That first idea was actually terrifying.

Looks like Mage got the best cards. I’m interested to see how a new tempo build with the secrets pans out. Counter Spell, Explosive Runes and Objection is a nice tempo package. My only concern is there might not be enough burn around to finish the game, as tempo Mage historically can only dominate the board until the mid game, at which point they tended to rely on a burn plan to close out games.

Counter minion then the minion just doesnt get played, like no battlecry effects and such either?

These cards do look ok,though very slow.
