2x Headless Horseman in the same game

Can anyone explain to me why it is possible to play 2 of those in the same game? It’s a Hero card. You don’t get to switch from being a Headless Horseman to being a Headless Horseman, lol

With everything else it entails…

If this was intended, I think it’s a bad decision. It doesn’t make any sense.

No “once per game” tag is free game for all cards. Working as intended.

Consistent with how hero cards have always worked. If you can copy them, you can play them again and again.

Great. Consistent with the past, inconsistent with any common sense.

Got it.

Hero cards are discoverable like any other card. Why does it matter anyway, it’s just asphyxiate for 6 mana if played twice and an extra head in your deck.

Well that + 5 armor, 2 times, kinda hurts my deck real bad, ngl

True. Dk is quickly overtaking priest’s role of most toxic class in the game tbh. Reska, Primus, frost plagues… choose your poison

What to think about a deck that us hurt by a 6 mana asphyxiate that gives 5 armor ? If you lose to overpriced cards… :person_shrugging:

He plays sludgelock. I can see how this card can be annoying to this deck

Talk to Habu, one of the 16 players playing on MT today… he created it

His version is kinda more aggro, without the self-damage package, and I just run symphony as usually, so once he already played one Horseman, I felt free to play symphony and get a 11/13 minion on board, just to lose it from a card I would never play around…twice xD

The deck being in a MT doesn’t change what to think about what it loses to.
Pro players know what their decks are weak to

Your opponent could have simply generated asphyxiate from another source. Same removal option 3 mana cheaper

So losing one game dooms a deck? Right…

KK thx for your input

No idea where you are having this thought from.
Never said the deck was doomed

Pretty unambiguous, I dare say

I only asked what to think about it.
You are drawing your own conclusion.
Nothing ambiguous on my side.

How is this any different from getting a copy of anything stored in a fizzle shot? Nothing new.

So you lost one game, and immediate complain about the card you lost to on the forum? I mean, that’s what’s it looks like to me.

It works how it works. It really isn’t that deep. At least you know for next time.

In general you pass it over unless one of two things is needed for the game you are playing.

You either need the head ASAP to get the value/control train rolling. In this case you are probably playing against a Warrior and you want to keep throwing threats on the board while turn after turn negating their hero power. Can also be applied to certain Priest decks. With that many heads in the deck it’s almost guaranteed when i drop a gaslight i will hit one or all of them and they are free so you lose nothing.

The other reason is the 5 armor, which can be a major PITA for Mage who has to play a balancing act of playing some burn to reduce the armor since the DK will almost always be at 30 continually or more and threatening with a board. I have done it to numerous Mages and it put them out of reach until you can close the games on them.
