25 seconds to take turns after round 14+

Funny how when it was down to a 2v2 the game started moving slow, like someone hit their old halo lag switch. Now i can deal with lag, but more to the point.

What i can’t deal with is only having a literal 25 seconds to communicate and make important strategic decisions. It ridiculous.

Oh and god forbid if your kid needs you in the middle of a game. Might as well go back to the lobby.

Give me my long turn timers back, please.

Wut. Do you want a serious answer for that?

Sure. Give your best obnoxious attempt to answer a non existing question.

Go for it.

Im honestly curious about what garbage will fall out of that head of yours.

1+ minutes is long enough for turns. The only change that needs to happen is to keep the speedup on animations running the whole time instead of selectively in the middle of turns. we do not need 3 seconds per deathrattle token processing.

You missed the part where i had 25 seconds for my taverns? Thats not an exaggeration. Six turns my teammate and i went back and forth with the opposition. And every tavern as soon as the 2v2 initiated was 25 seconds. My buddy tried restarting the app and it changed nothing. Still 25 seconds and lag on every card played.

Him and I were able to play and sell maybe 6-10 cards a round and not once able to spend all of the whopping 14 gold we had.

It’s a video game. Do you seriously believe you should advocate for supporting distractions like literal other people literally making you stop playing and standing up and leaving the PC/mobile platform?

After a point they will say “we’re making a video game here that people are supposedly playing and not doing something else”.

Do you seriously try and twist every conversation into your view of how you believe things should be?

The point of this topic was 25 seconds not being enough time in the tavern, not wether my irl distractions should be advocated for or not.

The bigger problem you failed to see is that anyone could have a distraction irl that takes a minute to resovle, e.g. connection issues, game crashes, diarrhea, or even answering the door to say “not intersted” all of which we had time for before.

But that’s just not good game design. Most gamers do not want a game that allows someone to stand up and stop playing and go to the bathroom for 10 minutes.

They want excitement and skill-based and having such gigantic pauses takes away from their experience.

Again, with this trying to force the conversation to conform to your ideals

300 seconds is 5 minutes, the same amount of time you have to complete almost every 2d mario level. Half of 300 seconds (150) is 2.5 minutes. The latter being about what we had in tavern before. We had a literal 25 seconds in our taverns.

Did you even play duos when the timers were long? Or better yet, do you even enjoy strategy games in general?

No chess player in the world will ever claim they lost a match because of too much time.

Bg’s is near the only format that everyone has access to the same card pool, just like black and white have the same pieces on a chess board. That, imho, makes it a skill based strategy game and if having plenty enough time to think/calculate doesnt excite you or having your well thought out plan come to fruition, then youll never be able understand.

You imply the factor of time should be deleted at the assessment of skill. That’s just wrong.

Having limited time and still being skillful shows extra skill.

At the very least is subjective. People love not waiting.

Instant gratification. Youre not wrong.

You talk as if they have a psychosis. This is perfectly normal in all sports and e-sports. Skill under limited time is an extra skill in itself and people like competing to see who is best at those things.

You inferring that from five words says much more than any words you willingly put down.

And yes time crunchs are a part of sports, but you omit the facts most, if not all, have a time out, or time reserved for strategical analysis.

To further my point of you trying to dictate the conversations…

25 seconds is not enough time for any proper strategic analysis, in any sport.

Why? They may be too smart.

Its been a blessing and a problem most of my life. Thanx for noticing.
