I’ve been pretty happy with the game after starting with battlegrounds so I went ahead and pre-ordered everything since Barrens expansion including mercenaries.
I was pretty disappointed in the quality of mercenaries but was happy to keep toying with it while the kinks are ironed out.
I’ve been busy working all week and finally got time to sit down and try to farm, only to spend 20+ runs trying to get a single mysterious stranger, not 1.
Now I look here to find out about the change and I’m quite angry. I will not be buying anything else from this company, I feel betrayed and all those new packs and everything you just released today? HARD PASS.
I’m also going to the play store to change my review from 5 to 1. Thanks for costing me so much then sweeping the rug out from under me after I already paid. Where do I go for refunds?!?

Hi there, I also want to address the fact that the rewards for rating on pvp mercenaries did not work for me. The rating appears to be achieved but you do not get the reward.
I keep getting coins for my capped characters. For all of them. I get the coins for both PvP and PvE rewards. Will there be a way to somehow exchange those unusable coins for some other character’s coins?
Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way to track which mission I’m at for any character, apart from getting new missions and seeing their number. Will something be done about that?
Wasn’t taks 12 for Grommash supposed to be fixed? I got it again, but it still doesn’t seem to work.
When you tie with your opponent (with ranking slightly increase due to internal ranking) and reach the October season reward chest ranking (mine is at 6000), the reward chest is skipped entirely.
Thanks, the team is aware of an issue where if you cross a threshold based on an early concession, it does not award the seasonal chest. The team is working on a fix.
There will be something to do with excess coins in the future, but we don’t have any details to announce at this time.

The issue isn’t just with crossing the threshold. I find that if my opponent early concedes I am not getting any rewards at all. Many are conceding after losing 1 merc which prevents the winner of the match from receiving a reward.

I do understand, that with the hotfix you wanted to get rid of the exploits going on in the figthing pit. But with that you created a new issue that causes much more harm to the casual players compared to the few that were exploiting the fighting pit…
In all my games I did today in PvP, as soon as my opponent thought he wasn’t going to win and lost 2 mercs he immediately conceded, so basically you allowed every player in PvP to grief and BM others by just conceding after losing 2 mercs. On top of that (as you mentioned) you’re hotfix F-up a lot of peoples reward from MMR rating, like other that didn’t get their seasonal reward from the MMR-Chest I too didn’t get mine from my 6k rating because my opponent was so nice and not salty at all, that he conceded after losing 2 mercs…

Thought I was experiencing a bug because I was not getting credited for any PvP wins, turns out Blizzard just made griefing incredibly easy and people are taking advantage of that. What a time to be alive!

There is a chance for esport in Mercenaries? Or u will leave it like Battlegrounds…?
To be fair, wintrading is considered as abuse everywhere in games. So this is expected from lizzard to act upon, unlike air ele nerf, which is debatable.
Edit: there’s a mailbox in Mercenary camp for a reason (wink-wink). It’s already hard to find patchnotes in BNet launcher with how crowded it is with promotional videos, not to mention digging forums for any hotfixes.
Battlegrounds also would benefit from its own mailbox due to mentioned issue with BNet launcher.

On my cell phone I cannot see the attacks of the enemies. What attack they are going to do is off the screen when I hold down on there Portrait.

BLIZZARD: It’s very weird, and a little shady that instead of posting the nerfs you are burying them in an edit of a 15 day old post. When you’re nerfing the way rewards drop (even if it’s to fix a exploit) you shouldn’t be announcing them like this.

- Fixes a bug that prevented players from claiming Mercenaries seasonal rewards if you passed the ranking threshold for that reward from a game where your opponent conceded too quickly. Note: this fix will not retroactively grant the seasonal awards to people who were affected by this bug. The team will manually grant those awards to the affected people at a later time.
