Not a make or break error, but is really annoying that every time I log into Mercenaries I now have 2 mercs that display as having something new requiring my attention despite this not being the case. How can this be resolved?
I don’t know, but I have the same problem; mine are Lord Jaraxxus & Prophet Velen.
Is it possible that you have a new portrait?

in the past i got a similar problem and it went away with a random game update , so i suggest to just wait
In my case it was a recently unlocked item that keep the new tag and was impossible to remove.

My guess is somethingon the order of like deleting out a certain WoW folder would fix it, but have no idea. That’s how it worked in WoW.
I had this problem, I think I got it by double upgrading one of the equipments, the first one on the bottom row … it showed up as normal, but when clicked then the zoomed in version had the NEW marker on it.
The fix:
Open the game on mobile and check the equipment there, the NEW did then go away for me. Hope it works for you too.
