  • Old: Every third spell you cast each turn costs (0). → New: Every third spell you cast each turn costs (1).

Mindrender Illucia

  • Old: [Cost 2] → New: [Cost 3]

I’m actually pretty ok with it (and oddly enough watching some ATLA right now whilst folding laundry lol).

The Illucia nerf isn’t a big deal, but the Kael turns were getting annoying.

They nerfed… illucia?

NOT ANIMAL GUARDIANS?

LIGHTNING BLOOM?

BRAGGART?

The kaelthas nerf was expected, but quite literally not one of the high variance targets was hit.

Battlegrounds changes are good. Beasts might be somewhat more viable midgame now. Megasuar being gone will make murlocs the new trash tribe.

Eudora now just good, not insane.

Thank God they nerfed Kael, won’t destroy druid tho, just make it a bit slower and less consistent.

Illucia nerf is a little strange, but otherwise seems fair.

They had to nerf Illucia to allow Druids better odds of getting off Guardian Animals before Priest could swap and eat their ramp cards.

This was a fan service, but nerfing Illucia was the last card on the list.

Voracious Reader and Secret Passage untouched? Should I expect round two of nerfs to come in the future? Quick changes are good, but this better not be the end of it.

You should have already known they weren’t going to nerf aggro fuel yet lol, it’s almost always the last stuff to get nerfed.

bye bye megasaur, no one will miss you except people who play the same strat of rush to T5 for brann

I agree. The illucia nerf doesn’t really change anything. The card is still insanely good.

Literally nobody going to bother going murlocs anymore, the primalfin buff is good, but won’t be enough to solve a late game without Megasaur. It’s going to be beasts Vs pirates every game. Beasts are going to be on top.

Not complaining, this should make things interesting.

OK, I’m honestly kinda surprised about the reaction to the Illucia nerfs. Nobody here stole (or had stolen) coin + a minion on turn 2? That move was often game over for the aggro deck, so the nerf isn’t surprising.

We are going to miss megasaur .

I’m cool with what they did. Once you explained it for me, I get it.
I’m not sure it goes far enough, but I guess we will see.

Haha. Yep. Of all the insane swing cards priest gets one of the two cards nerfed. I ought to have known it was coming. That card was actually fun to play and took a hell of a lot of thought in many match ups. It was destined to be nerfed.

As for the BGs, generally happy. Eudora needed the nerf and arcane cannon was a complete abomination that should never have been printed. Murlocs are pretty much a dead strat now without megasaur. Not nearly enough reward for the risk to take them in the mid game and no incentive to switch to them in the late game.

Right, I don’t think it’s a bad nerf. It just seems like its getting dismissed as inconsequential, which I wouldn’t agree with. Dunno, maybe the anti-aggro thing happened less often than I thought.

EDIT: plus, Illucia was the golden Legendary I got from my Scholomance preorder, which means FREE LEGENDARY BABY :smiley:

What if I told you both Voracious Reader and Secret Passage are fine. Particularly Reader.

Then you’re either biased cause of possibly favoring aggro or you’re just plain wrong?
