The âtread waterâ winrate for D4 and up is 50%.
The âtread waterâ winrate for D6 and below is 45.34%. Itâs lower because you can get more than 1 star for some wins but you never lose more than 1 star for a loss. This is one thing making ranks below D5 easier.
Even average players relative to their rank are constantly climbing out of ranks below D5 over time, because they only need 45.34%. So as the average players leave the new average is based on a lower quality of player. If youâre in any rank below D5 your opponents will get easier the closer it is to the last day of the month. This is a second thing making ranks below D5 easier.
I call all ranks D6 and below participation trophy ranks. So to the OP I say: congratulations on beating the tutorial and welcome to the real game.
Thereâs another wall at Legend. My first time, which was also my first season (I was using the free deck), after reaching Legend, I never won another game that season.
After ten months, I made Legend the second time & actually managed to win a couple of games at Legend Rank.
Iâve only been back two or three more times in 2 & 1/2 years.
I guess a wall is half of it. There are usually two different things players choose between at Legend: either climbing in seriousness, or turning serious mode off and playing silly meme decks. Those who climb tend to gain MMR, those who meme tend to lose MMR. So what tends to happen is right when you first make Legend youâre deposited right around where that wall between âseriousâ Legend and low Legend is, and it feels like a soft rank floor because thereâs such an attitude difference in general between the opponents going up and the opponents going down.
I mean if you break it down going from D5 to legend = 100 gold. I guess if you get into a certain bracket of legend you get opportunities for âproâ play. Iâm not sure exactly what thats worth but long story short it really depends on how much you value that extra card pack and the âbraggingâ rights for being 1 out of 30000 other people to get legend in a month on whether or not you should continue the grind or just go do something else with your life.
The grind is fun the first few times but after that you have to be an ultra F2P min maxer to keep trying if you havent made it in 15 days (assuming youâre putting in more than 2 or 3 games a day)
im depressed right now being 17 days diamond 5 i canât play anymore this game is killing me .
all day i have bad RNG , or opponent have good RNG , even opponent have all answers or anomalies screw me or bad match up , on any deck i play and i have bad match ups on any deck i play all day long it is like this i have i donât know how it is like this i am at 400 games this month at d5
i just played mech rogue druid had yogg saron and 2 nourish ggwp killed all my minions T6
then i encoutered a dk blood i lost all on the bloood aoe spell
then i encoutered a rogue he puted me the minion that makes me be overloadad i drawed it turn 3 turn 3 i had to play with only 1 mana turn 4 he puted ETC
then i played my mech turn 5 and turn 6 he played starfish i lost due to only have crap 2/3 ans 1/1 on board .
then i played druid tambourine then vs another druid he managed to have devolve into my treants i losted
then i played vs a warlock with my paladin divine shield and he puted prison and the prison puted the void 8 spell i losted all my minions i was wining the game if not this .
i played more of my paladin i encountered a rogue and he shadowsteped prison breaker and i losted all my minion for the second time i losted the game due to having impossibility to having a new board the board swing was done and i just lost so much tempo that i losted the game at this point .
then i say ok i los i gonna play more of my paladin because i woned allready 3 games and this was the second lost i pressed play and i meeted a hunter and he got the 4/1 that by trading and then with the toxicity spell and the 1 mana spell he removed my minions early in the boardthen i was at 12 hp by turn 8 he goes face with the weapon and 2 arcane spells and i died turn 8 i was back at the diamond 5 floor at this point by my evening games .
My personal opinion is the Pure Dude version. Plays fast and ends games even faster but has the legs to hang late game if needed. I had a really hard time making myself climb ladder this month but i pushed through with that deck. The only real other choice is face hunter IMO. Ending games before they start is the only real way to combat the other end of the meta since thereâs no good Mid decks.
Itâs far easier to climb ladder near the end of the month. Doing it from day one is much much harder due to all the top players looking to secure that top slot and sit on it for position.
Stop. Pro, short for professional. To be a professional, you must be paid. Youâre suggesting a certain bracket of play puts money into your pockets directly.
Tell me, where is this in game option for blizzard to pay you?
Dont âmaster tourâ players get paid? I donât pay attention to the professional hearthstone scene (I cant even type it with a straight face) but didnât they used to have a world championship that paid some money?
Yes, but itâs very little unless you win worlds. The problem right now is qualifying requires a full time play schedule of at least 8-10 hours a day and you would most likely need to be a solid streamer to do that. Outside of that itâs hard to sustain being a Pro HS player these days.
Probably not many âcasualsâ could afford a six to seven paladin-only leggies deck for a class out of 11. Once the aggro decks were mostly affordable ones, now are all like this. The game has become a luxury, sadly.
Thereâs usually one or two cheap decks. Thereâs an aggro Druid going around now thatâs 20 commons and 10 rares. It isnât amazing but it can win games and hilariously is favoured against Ramp Druid so it gets stronger the further you climb.
