11 death knights in a row

? I miss one day of playing and matchmaking is now filled with death knights who think they’re superteching some insane handbuff/ poison breath strats? Need i ask? Alright, i’ll ask… who streamed it. What youtube video did we all watch?

Blizzard goes over their heads to deny it, but they have forced matchmaking, the famous algorithm everyone keeps talking about.
I was playing Druid today, i played 6 games, all against DK.
I switched to Priest and got a Mage all of a sudden.
Sure this can be a coincidence, but while i was playing i was watching Warshack on twitch playing Druid and facing DK after DK for god knows how many games in a row.

It’s undeniable how algorithmically controlled this game is.

I also notice that Blizzard has a sort of “revenge” matchmaking. For example 2 days ago, I beat 3 DKs in a row, beat a druid after, and then I faced another DK. In this last match, I had horrible draw, all my high cost cards were at the top of my deck, rendering my early game non-existent. I could only sit there like a sitting duck and take my beating. The game was determined to let DK get one up on me

For realz, this happens to me all the time.

Amen i said it before but all you have to be is a perfectly normal functioning human who plays at least ~500 matches of this game competitively and you’ll start to kick in on the pattern recognition.

Those games you feel like a god and then others you have hero powered 2 turns in a row and the enemy is rolling you (same deck, different designated win or loss draw)

Yep exactly. And sometimes, the game also has certain decks they wanna promote. At least that’s what it feels like. The other day I handily beat an imbue hunter. And then the game matched me against imbue hunters until I lost

Like, the game wants to punish me and force me to give a pity win to whatever class and deck I beat

In my last 30 games I’ve faced every class. 1 Death Knight, 1 Shaman, 2 or more of everything else, max is 6 Hunters. It’s as evenly distributed as I’ve ever seen it.

Full disclosure: this is wild. Maybe that isn’t what you’re playing.

You and all your supporters in here have a very bad understanding of Statistics. The Skewness of a game like this is extremely high hence even a sample of 20 or 40 is EXTREMELY low so you need at least 60 or even 80 matches to start seeing a pattern of any kind stabilizing (eg that’s when D0nkey’s site starts showing a win rate that doesn’t change much). Also Celestalon explictly said recently that none of that is happening so it would be extremely foolish to lie because plenty of old hires of Blizzard would expose such blatant lies.

You just got titled because you thought “I can’t possibly lose because I’m a good player and I should win 100%” which is the true source of most “it’s rigged!” thoughts.

I don’t blame you too much about any of this because humans are bad at Statistical intuition without studying it and I also have gotten titled and said “rigged!”.

Nice try blizzard employee always sent to downplay the algo theory.
But according to statistics, the most played deck is imbue druid, the next most played deck is the so called drunk paladin, then we have the DK on third place. These are numbers for a week and for the rank that im playing.
By your logic i should encounter a lot more of druids and a lot of paladins, not DKs.
I would suggest to go back to your masters and settle on better smoke screens for us poor tin foil fools.
