¿Bugged Interaction Tracking + Far Watch Post?

Hi Blizzard,

I’m experiencing a bug or a not intended interaction between Tracking (1 mana, Hunter Spell) and Far Watch Post (2 mana, Normal Barrens Minion).

Currently, Tracking has the effect “Discover a card from your deck” and Far Watch Post has the effect “After your opponent draws a card, it costs (1) more)”.

The bug or not intended interaction occurs everytime I play Tracking when my opponent has Far Watch Post in their field. Any card i choose from Tracking gets its cost increased by 1 which should not occur since Tracking does not state the draw effect.

¿Can you please tell me if this is the intended interaction? If so, Tracking should have the effect “Discover a card from your deck then draw it”, otherwise you have to fix the interaction and the cost of card “tracked” should not increase.

No it does not. The card text is:

Look at the top three cards of your deck.  Draw one and
discard the others.

It literally says draw on the card.

Tracking doesn’t say “Discover a copy”, it discovers the actual card from your deck, thus drawing it. Compare it to Cleric of Scales or Thrive in the Shadows (which also draw because no copy is created).

Thanks for your answer. I see, now I get it.

Maybe the wording can cause confusion with other Discover cards. I think the developers could adjust it to better reflect the effect.
