Wizard's Eternal Affixes need to be changed

Except for Meteor and Lightning Nova Eternal Affix, the rest were garbage.

Arcane Wind Affix: It makes the Arcane Wind AOE bigger, but the 4/4 effect was strifed to the point it is barely noticeable in the size change in BG. Obviously, this affix is completely useless in PVE and PVP (due to Strifed). Using a generic legendary gear is a far better option here for PVP.

Ice Crystal Affix: Really? The effect will allow additional laser beams to reflect from the Ice Crystal. Who needs that? The default Ice Crystal can hit 5 targets already enough to wipe everything in PVE and you would be hard-pressed to find a scenario where 8 enemies stay in one lane and within the range of Ice Crystal in Battleground or PVP. Beam + Ice Crystal never has an issue of hitting multiple targets. This is another useless and wasted affix its real purpose is to dilute the Eternal affix pool.

Disintegrate Beam Affix: Another useless affix in PVE or PVP. Disintegrate Wizard never has an issue hitting enemies with one beam. Additional Beam up to 5 beams are eye candy and useless in practical situations. Using generic legendary gear is a better option here for PVE and PVP.

Ice Armor Affix: No reason to use this affix either as the ice armor skills and essences are generally underwhelming. Extra movement speed barely matters as Ice Armor usually doesn’t last that long or the effect ends when the armor itself shatters and it has a long cooldown (20 seconds) unless for a few Ice Armor essence that has built-in cooldown reduction. Another scenario is that your generic legendary items are a superior choice to wear.

Teleport Affix: Really? Why would you guys think that 0.02 seconds cooldown every movement reduction is something worth enough for players to choose over their generic legendary gear again? :laughing: Another affix that is completely useless in PVP and PVE is that its only purpose is diluting the Eternal Affix pool for Wizard.

Arcane Torrent Affix: I guess this is decent enough but certainly not worth it to pick it over your generic legendary and build that doesn’t use Arcane Torrent. The affix only works on close range/melee and there are plenty of wizard skills that work far better and effectively at close range/melee without equipping 4 arcane torrent affix eternal gear (which is difficult to complete the 4/4)

If I were you guys, I would do the following:

  • Teleport affix grants shield and movement speed upon casting,
  • Ice Crystal affix will increase the wizard defense or reduce the Ice Crystal cooldown or make the Ice Crystal’s freezing aura bigger
  • Ice Armor affix will increase movement speed, and provide additional shield or crowd control immunity
  • Disintegrate affix will increase the beam range or deal more damage
  • Arcane Wind affix will increase the casting range or inflict damage vulnerable to the target
  • Arcane Torrent affix will deal more damage at close/melee range

That is all I can think of, but if you guys from DI team can’t find a way to buff these useless affixes, then at least please remove most of them, especially Teleport, Ice Crystal, Arcane Wind and Ice Armor, from the Eternal Affix pools for Wizard, so it would be easier for wizard players to target Meteor or Lightning Nova affix.

I think that the wizard is even too much like this…and that everything is more than ok for wizard

I think that Wizards should get a DEFENSE BUFF more than anything else. They are WAAY too squishy in PvE (not PvP). They also get WAAY too much aggro vs other classes who are both much better at surviving as well as not drawing aggro as much. This is really backwards. Need to give Wizard DEFENSE buff or make them much less SQUISHY in PvE content, or at least make them COMPARABLE in defense with other classes who have BOTH high damage and are seemingly unkillable.

Wizard is not OP. Do you even play Diablo Immortal currently? You are really out of date with your statements and views.

monks and mages are op too op the bg are unplayable and i have more than 5000 reso…and you have in every pvp 3 mages and 2 monks with 2000 reso against golem.necro…and it is impossible to play…you can’t get out of the stairs you have to be honest and admit that mages are TOO OP
