Many of us have wondered which of our “Summons” actually count as such for the purposes of bonuses such as the Shepherd armor set. Here are the findings of several tests - thanks also to Zaxxus for the help!
Wizard Summons that count: Arcane Deputy and Sunfire Snakes
Wizard Summons that don’t: Chaotic Companion (Torrent) and anything with Nova
While I understand the exclusion of the Nova effects as these are not really summons, it would be awesome if Blizzard (please) could make Chaotic Companion a real summon with a summon bar and the chance to benefit from summon bonuses.
With Arcane Deputy and Chaotic Companion and Snakes - this would become a viable playstyle and Armor Sets like Shepherd would become viable for us.
