I know Tempests get a bunch of iframes, shields, and yet more shields from eternal gear. In BGs I find them a pain, but things work normally. They dash around, but take damage between port hits.
In Brawl, however, I do absolutely nothing to Tempests. It’s like my shots are scaled lower than Tempest shields? As a test I just stood there and unloaded a full duration strafe+impale+knockback shot into an even leveled Tempest. He was still at 100% hp and same shield bar when I died…I’m sure he had dash iframes for a chunk of that, fine, but not 8 straight seconds of it. Everyone moans about strafe damage, but 8 seconds to the face did 0.
Even the obvious bot tempest doing nothing but running away from me while I shot into it’s back took foreeeever for me to kill.
So, WTH?

Agreed, I played Tempest for Brawl myself, made it real easy to finish the weekly event tasks, but it didn’t feel one bit fair to opponents.
Not outright invulnerable, but very hard to kill, along with cc immunity, the only thing that keeps other classes competitive is the fact that these coconuts don’t do much damage. But have a good DH or Wiz behind them and they can clear whole groups with ease.
Also played Brawl as Tempest and basically won every match solo beating teams of 4 by myself without a scratch at times.
The reason:
Brawler shield paragon + breaker shield + dashes and wind walk.
Because of how long it takes to kill people in Wild Brawl, it allows for Brawlers shield to proc multiple times, and since nobody has damage to shielded enemies, it’s basically invulnerability for the duration of the shield coupled with breakers shield. Add in the fact Tempest dashes make them squirrelly and difficult to hit and stop due to their CC immunity, they essentially can keep dancing gaining shield after shield after shield.
It was extremely OP but then again, a lot of players are bad at Wild Brawl, playing like it’s not a different mode entirely.
