Unjust punishment for nothing

Could someone explain to me why my account was blocked? I received a message stating that I was harassing and shaming others, which is not true. The topic was only about the wrongdoings happening in the game, and both I and other players were insulted. I didn’t even mention who did it because that’s not allowed… Now I am the one being punished. What is going on here?

From the wording, it sounds like you had an infraction from the…

If that’s the case, I believe the forum notification should have contained a link / procedure in it that details how to appeal it. If, however, you mean an in-game silence / suspension / ban, the procedure to appeal that is by submitting a support ticket…

No-one on the forums can tell you what happened, or why, or help with your appeal and, indeed, discussing disciplinary actions by creating threads about it is also an infraction of the forum code of conduct so you may wish to remove your post.

Where can I find information on what I can do? All I see are rules about what is not allowed. So, if I am insulted in the game, I can report it, but no one has addressed it for over a year. I can’t write about it on the forum because I’ll be penalized. Can someone explain what I can do and what will actually work? I will do it immediately.

You absolutely can write about it on the forum.
As an example of such a thread, here’s one I contributed to back in March…

Generally, the only reason I’ve seen such threads moderated is because the people making the complaints did one of two things…

  1. Named a specific player
  2. Insulted Blizzard

As you can see from the thread I linked, it’s entirely possible to level criticisms against the company complaining about their lack of EULA enforcement for this sort of thing if you do so without resorting to insults or naming individuals that are the reason for making such complaints.

However, as you’ll also note, that thread’s from March, and it was made / contributed to, from people that had gotten fed up with no action having been taken for months against clear and serious EULA infractions that should have resulted in account closures, i.e. this is something that Blizzard hasn’t been addressing properly for at least half a year, probably longer, so don’t hold your breath hoping that they’ll have a sudden change of heart and actually start enforcement.

I did not mention the name of the player, nor did I insult Blizzard. As far as I know, the person I have in mind, along with their colleagues, reports topics here on the forum as inappropriate. I also know that they arranged on Discord to report my colleague, who received a 1-day ban in the game, as well as me here, where I received a forum ban. It is very strange that he managed to get another player banned in the game in a very short period of time, whereas reporting them by dozens, if not hundreds, of players in the game has no effect.

Please unban the player “Cudnygrom” as soon as possible and stop making a mockery of the situation. You are scamming free-to-play players by banning good people. Check the reports thoroughly before banning anyone. I am very upset with you.

Well, if the topics don’t have anything in them that breaches the forum code of conduct, players that deliberately falsely flag those topics should actually receive a punishment themselves because false flagging is against the code of conduct…
