The whales in my match this morning immediately knew the mm was completely unbalanced

I don’t know if anyone outside the west coast knows who Snowlord (10-13k, usually 10k+ secondaries) or Yellowsnow (10k+ massive kraken) are, but I just pulled a match with both of them in the same team against us. Like everyone in the match including the whales on my side knew it was completely unbalanced before it even started. And mm is picking this kind of thing for me routinely as a 5k wiz with 6-7k offensive secondaries. Imma keep min maxing and posting this kind of data. I had another match that was 6-24. Fair right? We should have just died on the idols to win (that is the usual pile of garbage answer). I’m convinced mm algorithm sees my nearly maxed crit chance and high block chance, stacked affixes, etc and decides I have too much “combat power” so it compensates with the stats that can be bought on the other side. Anybody else have an explanation? I pretty much feel like BG mm punishes me for playing the game well.

The MM you experienced was absolutely on purpose. Putting 2 marquee players on one team drew your attention as it was intended to do.

Now NetEase/Blizzard expects you to be envious and try to match those players. So you need to spend is the message.

There’s no mistake. Mathematicians, psychologists, gambling experts and experts from a variety of other disciplines were used to create the algorithms that control the game. They know the best ways to drive you to the store.

Lol. Well they are failing miserably with me. I have basically stopped ranking 5* gems or normal gems and will continue to post this data to expose their B.S. People who play the game well because they enjoy this aspect should not be punished in BG in an attempt to manipulate them into spending. That’s what Immortal is for.

Netease/Blizzard would not call it punishment. They might call it inducement. Any way you look at it, this is not a game you play. It’s a game that’s playing you.

The smurfs probably disagree. Many are top 3 at 2-3k by getting carried on the winning team. I just see that angle as a silly pointless maze. So I am exposing them and maybe the gamer press will pick up the story and put them in damage control.

Everyone knew the day the game went live that allowing players to increase their in-game power by spending real life money meant the very basis of the game was pay-to-win. All you’d be exposing is something people already knew 3.5+ years ago.

Hmm…grinding to max stats etc. doesn’t work but smurfing does in bg? Imma keep repeating that message. I think people might want something else. And Immortal is still the cash cow.

Clearly they’ve got it all wrong then because it wont induce a lot of people to spend more at all opposite effect if big spenders want easy wins give them bots is basically the same and you wont ruin it for people who want a battle not a massacre

Or is to show the rest of us how much skill they got :rofl::rofl::rofl:

The 2-3k reso guys are the only clever persons at this game i think, on my server they mostly at place 1 too at the modes without spending nearly anything. BG these days is all about counting meta classes, the team with more druids or high bk wins usually and there isnt much you can do. Best thing is to stop after reaching legend at bg but sadly the rest of the game is so monotone atm that there is not much left to do. The new content seems now even at “big patches” just buying the next 5 star gem or phantom skin, game needs total overhaul and change of business model if it will survive.

Nah, some players are just so bad and MM can’t account on that.

I just have multiple BG games today and the team power level is pretty similar and balanced ( I checked both teams after the match ended), and guess what? The KDAs for both teams are extremely one-sided.

There is absolutely nothing you can do if the players in your team don’t know how to do the objective and refuse to step out of the idol. You know the team is a joke when you see a wizard/DH is the only class stepping the idol while the barb and crusader go to chase enemies for kills. :man_facepalming:

Sometimes when both teams have whale with similar reso and secondary, you still can see one whale with 20/0/15 KDA and another whale with 3/17/8 KDA.

The problem is that the sader if he steps at the idol is dead after his 3 sec shield, no escape chance, even at full tank mode fragile like glass, and just a total unfair skillset with high cds compared to other classes. If the other side has a druid for sader you have bad chances right from the start. The new horse essences was trash like always, you must sacrifice half of your dps to get a horse that is only used for escaping and has a high cd while other classes dash around endlessly without any restrictions and even get heals and shields.

So it is justified for wizard or DH to step the idol then despite that they have no DAMAGE TO IMMUNITY skill? At least bad Crusader can push or stall the idol for 3 seconds.

I dunno about you, but a competent crusader and barb that knows how to do objectives in my region is what decides the outcome of the match.

If the crusader or barb players that want to chase KDA, they SHOULD change to the DPS class.

the competent sader players switched already to other classes, the ones i see are usually the very first who got killed at bg. I am place 2 at tower and 6 at bg on my server but was putting sure 10 time the work in my sader to achieve something other classes can do with way less effort. Sader feels like weakest tank at game atm, he needs urgently cc immunity and movement like most other classes already have.

Not in my server though. Crusader is still valuable in my region or in BG. No one in my BG matches ever complains “OMG We got crusader! Game over”. We only complains when our team doesn’t have tank vs enemy team with tank.

Depends on where/when he got killed. If he got killed for stalling / pushing idol, then his death isn’t a loss if his team can capitalize it. If he got killed at random place, then he should switch to class since DPS/CHASE is his priority.

It seems that you should just switch to DPS class if you are not willing to die when playing crusader and you only care about KDA.

In BG, the MM count our class/res but they don’t care our Win Rates!! :joy:
Why I was kept bashed when my win rate is below 50%?
Really, unfair…

I’ve thought about class changing but prefer range and dislike the play of DH. So I’m just an expert wiz I guess and that’s the way it is. If the top 3 spots actually meant those people were better players I’d aspire to it, but the data I’ve collected pretty much proves they aren’t. So I’m being vocal about making the things I like to do matter more and getting more even matches that are more enjoyable for everyone. And I honestly think people should be compensated 7-12 points if the kda is 4x or higher and they lose. If you’re matching me with players that suck that badly or stacking the mm against me on purpose, you might as well compensate me as though someone left or the match balance was unfair. This would make the leaderboards more realistic and make these crap matches more bearable.

You dont understand, a sader can maybe hold an idol a few sec but the druid can hold it sure 3 times longer and on top can escape after which brings him faster back into the action. Its a problem of bad balance at the skillsets if you compare these 2 tank classes against each other (i bet that in 90% of all cases a druid will help you more then a sader at matches).
