The absolute best bug in the game

I’ve discovered a bug that allows me to walk through walls, submerge myself below the floor, float in the air and explore outside of zones in the black areas of the minimap. I call it ‘Void Walking’.

it’s quite remarkable what exists out in the black areas. For example, the black areas to the north and west of Westmarch have many buildings, bell towers, cranes, ships, smoking chimneys, flying ravens and even a marching patrol underneath an arch. There’s gardens and trees in great detail, rocks with faces and statues everywhere.

Outside the cathedral area, I can see lit stained-glass windows on the lower floors as well as a ship at anchor and the lower entrance to the cathedral. Beyond it stretches the town of Westmarch with homes in profusion. It’s always fun to float in the area above Charsi and the market. Other players actually do see me and must think they’re hallucinating.

And it’s not just Westmarch. I’ve void-walked outside the Accursed Tower, Stormpoint (another fascinating area), Southern Dreadlands and Castle Cyrangar.

One of the really interesting features of this glitch is when I’m submerged neck deep in the floor. I get to see close-ups of NPCs, players and their pets. It’s quite remarkable how much detail there is, that in the normal view, we simply can’t appreciate. Murlocks look especially cool. Even the mobs take on a whole new dimension when viewed through this magnified view.

And yes, I can actually kill mobs while submerged, floating and in the Void. There’s no end to this amusement. I’m actually enjoying this aspect of Diablo Immortal.
