The solution to this problem is simple: WORLD CHAT MESSAGES AVAILABLE FROM 60 LEVEL.
It’s that simple, right? God damn it, do something with it!!!

If you needed to be level 60 to use World Chat that has two negative impacts…
- Legitimate new players would be prevented from asking questions and asking for help with raids (e.g. Lassal / Vitaath)
- The plat selling chat spammers would just level to 60 and spam chat
Sure, it means it would take the spammers longer to get accounts to the point where they could spam the chat, but it would not prevent it from happening, and you’re negatively affecting brand new players to the game whereby, if they’re stuck with something, they can’t even ask about it, which means they’re more likely to quit the game.
An actual solution would be for Blizzard to employ some real-time moderators who, on seeing this stuff, would hand out instant account suspensions / terminations. The game’s generating huge profits, so the wages for these folks would be like a rounding error.
