Spectral Allies in Inferno dungeons

From the latest Patch Notes

Spectral Allies in Inferno Difficulty

You can now summon Spectral Allies in Dungeons when in Inferno difficulty. Only the best allies would follow you into these lowest depths of hell.

I decided to give that a test and went to the entrance of Mad King’s Breach.

With Challenge Mode selected, Spectral Allies are unavailable…

With Standard Mode selected, Spectral Allies are available…

Clicking on Quick Summon fills the empty party slots with Spectral Allies…

If you then Enter the dungeon, you arrive inside with the Spectral Allies…

As you can see from the Buff list, there’s no daily unbound / bound gem counter buff. This means that the Spectral Allies do not count as players for that, so you can’t use them to run dungeons effectively solo to get your daily 12 unbound gems.

That’s good. Although I’m sure some would complain about that. lol my one officer was like wth are spectral allies so had to explain it to him. Notice any real difference with or w/o using them solo?

I didn’t actually run the dungeon with them.
It was just a test to see if they gave the unbound gem thing or not.

What you may have missed in the screenshot are the Paragon levels involved…

  • My hero is Paragon 833 (Server+13)
  • The Allies are Paragon 850 (Server+30)

I’ll give them a test later to see their performance matches their Paragon level or not.

For what it’s worth, the spectral allies have never counted for the daily gems. I know this as I’ve run many Hell difficulty runs with said SAs and they only really help to make boss chest spawn. Not saying they shouldn’t, but it is the same behavior as before.

It is good for spamming Namari solo if you want to cap the stained remains or quick BP, i guess?

That was my thought or target farming a dung without having to drag others along
