There’s to many players on the server I’m on and it’s become absolutely frustrating to do Bounties and side quests. Just yesterday, I was in Bilefen simply minding my own business doing a side quest, when some random player felt the need to write in Zone chat, telling me to “Go Away” then he took it a step further, and Private messaged me saying the same thing. Excuse me? Look, I don’t necessarily blame this person, but they don’t need to take their frustration out on me. DO you see how this is discouraging?? It’s proof that we have an increasing problem here.
Then later in the day, I was doing bounties with a Warband member, and no matter where we went, the tasks always ended up in the path of 4 player parties Circle Farming. I was just ready to abandon doing bounties at that point, but we obviously we need to do them because they’re Shadow Tasks!
I’ve been on the same server since a week after it went live more than a year ago, and it was never this bad. This is absurd and discouraging. This negative experience is ruining the enjoyment of this game for all players. Please do something to fix this.
As a workaround, if you find yourself trying to do a Bounty or Side Quest in an area where the required mobs are being circle-farmed by a group, you could just temporarily drop from Inferno to Hell or Normal, kill the mobs, then change back to Inferno.
I understand that changing servers might not always be the most desirable outcome, but some servers are just more popular than others, and that’s not something that we can control (until we perfect the mind control through your phone technology, but that’s still a few years away…)
It makes me wonder why don’t they implement the tech that exists in wow, ie. there all servers are crossed and they do sharding when an area becomes overcrowded. Maybe because the actual development is entirely delivered by netease and blizz has nothing to do with it?
That’s interesting because on some servers in the Southern Hemisphere, the servers are near dead. I imagine they’ll do another merge in the next 6 months.
And leave my Immo Clan? Leave my Warband? All my friends? Lose Deeds of Honor and also a major loss of Combat Rating because Blizzard imposes a server transfer Penalty? Thats a Definite NO Go.
@Meteorblade
This is a good suggestion. Thanks for the tip. Ill do exactly that next time lol
but if the server is overpopulated… why every time I search for a random group I find players who are not from my region/server? are we so sure that there are more servers in different regions not joined/twinned? just to know… also because I receive many requests to join a group from players who are not in my region and despite “my” request policies
Unless you have joined with a group of friends or made some good friends while playing this game, moving to another server is the best answer so far. I get you lose warband points and other things, but the game is now geared to get those back very quickly.
The suggestion above by meteorblade on this now fairly old thread to drop a level, do the bounty or farming at the lower level, whichever…then going back up, is the other alternative.
@LAR - Request policy failure you should do a bug post if the settings are not doing what they say they are.
Hi Bassdude! sorry for the late reply . my post intention, as a matter of fact, was to check if really there are different servers in different regions … unfortunatelly I’ve found that every time you close and restart the game there is a reset on policies for Helliquary invitation , for me it’s no good to check every time … but maybe for game developers it’s a normal behaviour … I wish you an happy 2025 !!!
