this is banking 101, its the same as the government printing new $ (or players creating items to sell for plat) and them removing older currency from circulation. This creates a flow to the currency that stops it from becoming devalued when there is an over abundance in circulation. If the tax didn’t exist there would just be a one way flow of increasing plat
The guy is a troll. I’ve gone back and read a few of his recent posts and he knows very little about the actual game mechanics but just prefers to complain about things really loudly, because, entitlement.
The 15% market tax has been in game since inception, anyone who’s played more than a week already came to terms with it but he’s only just started yelling about it.
