This task is not completed by your hero reaching Paragon level 450.

This task requires you to spend 450 Paragon points.

There are six standard Paragon trees…

  • Vanquisher / Gladiator / Survivor / Brawler / Slinger / Harbinger

Each of those trees cost…

  • 4 points to activate each node, which is 60 points in total per tree of 15 nodes

This means that activating all of the standard nodes requires spending 360 points.

Assuming you are Paragon 450, this leaves you with 90 points to be allocated.

There are three legendary nodes…

  • Benefactor / Lightning Rod / Roaring Strike

Each of those nodes cost…

  • 80 points per skill

If you have activated all of the standard tree nodes and one legendary node, that’s 440 points allocated.

This leaves you with 10 points unallocated.

To complete this task, your hero will need to be Paragon level 452.

With all standard nodes, and one legendry allocated, you will have 12 unallocated points remaining.

You need to de-allocate enough nodes in the standard trees so that you recover 68 points, i.e. 17 standard nodes…

This leaves you with the 12 you had and the 68 recovered points, i.e. 80 points.

Allocate those 80 points to a second legendary skill.

This will mean you have allocated 452 paragon points and the task will complete.

You can then de-allocate the legendary node, and re-allocate the points to the standard nodes.

I’m actually a little frustrated that the only way I can progress my account is to unlock the legendary Paragon nodes, that I don’t want to unlock.

I’m not a primary PvP player, so only one leg node really applied. I’ve now unlocked the 1 legendary and all normal nodes. I now have to respec just to spend Paragon points (like MeteorBlade points out).

I was hoping that this patch might have had a new paragon board(s). Wait until next patch

So, I will not gain paragon point after I reached 452?
If not then I have no reason to complete the task early!
I could get second legend skill at 520 and complete the task quest, then at 600 to unlock the last Legend skill. I have no interest with these 3 legend skills because it’s seem useless to a PvE solo player.

Yes, you’ll continue to gain paragon points after 452, it’s just that 452 is the minimum number of paragon points you need available in order to spend 450 of them. There’s also a task in Chapter 6 to spend 500 points. Again, you’ll need to do some re-allocation to complete that one too.

Well, if you don’t complete Chapter V, you can’t start on the tasks in Chapter VI. As some of those tasks require completing things that take many, many days / weeks (such as number of bounties completed) you should complete Chapter V as soon as you’re able if you want to be able to complete Chapter VI.

The third legendary skill grants a shield to you and your party members when your hero uses a buff skill. This can be useful in raids, and also in Vanguard.

Ah, I see your point! Thanks for the information, it’s useful to all new players.

To be honest you have time until para 500 to complete chapter v and will have another 10 weeks for the chapter 6. That is more than enough for even casual players to finish every task there. In the last chapter alone you would have enough time to finish 560 bounties which is the one that takes the most days to finish.
