I have to say, the new vault system is extremely disappointing. I’ve been playing for 18 months, and this is the worse. I would always fight on 4th floor, even if I’m guaranteed to die because my 4K resonance is nothing compared to the extremely high concentration of whales in the immortals, but that was fine, cause I’d get 30-40 hilts anyway. Now, with the new system, I get 0-10 hilts (while far from being maxed). Makes vault completely pointless, and encourages leaving on the 3rd floor.
1000% agree. All new vault system does is discourage me from going to 4th floor. And some of us work full time jobs (and night shift at that) and can’t do 30+ vault runs a week.
The hilts reward is based on the amount of essentia collected. I managed to get consistent 30 hilts per run, but that’s still worse than the 40 per run before the patch because now I need at least 12 runs per week instead of the previous 9.
Also this hinges on the other shadows not realizing what to do, because if they do know then the whole event becomes a rush fest as everyone will want to get all the essentia, including floor 4 where they will ignore the immortals and rush to kill more mobs for the essentia. Now it makes more sense why they disabled kicking party members, because if they didn’t, the optimal strategy would be to kick everyone else from the party and solo 4 floors for maximum essentia, or if you aren’t the party leader, ask for leadership so you can do the kicking.
Well, after receiving 10 hilts for being defeated on 4th floor, 20 for winning on 4th floor, and 30 for exiting on 3rd while every time collecting the most essentia on the team, I cannot see your theory being valid.
This is not a theory - watch the indicator on the left, as it shows your personal essentia and the number of hilts you will get, and you can clearly see when it goes up. It’s 10% for 10 hilts, 25% for 20 and 40% for 30. There is a way to get 40 but I don’t know the threshold for that.
Wait, what?
The rewards Shadows earn in each Vault run are now somehow affected by how much Essentia they collect? I mean, why? It makes no sense this would be a mechanic since the Essentia’s worthless, as the Immortals haven’t needed it to initiate Kion’s raids for months at this point so there’s no point in the Shadows stealing it.
Indeed you were right. Either way, they now increased the yield to 40 hilts per tier, so it’s much easier to fill up the weekly limit.
yes, they quadrupled it
10% now gets you 40 hilts
25% gets you 80 hilts
40% gets you 120 hilts
I don’t get their intention behind it…
Like first they want us to go to floor 4 more and decrease the hilts to do that, we complain, cause it leads to most people would need to doe 35 runs per week to max it out and now they give us up to 120 hilts so that you can theoretically finish it before you maxed out your chests.
Doesn’t matter how i look at it, it doesn’t make sense at all what they are doing to the Vault…
Precisely this, especially since the Essentia doesn’t matter in the Shadows vs Immortal cycle any more. Immortals used to need Essentia to open Kion’s raids. They haven’t needed this for months at this point. So, there’s literally no point in the Shadows stealing it, because it doesn’t prevent the Immortals doing Kion’s raids (which greatly contributes to the Dominance of their reign). It’s just a weird decision and I bet it has more to do with it being easier to come up with a reason for collecting it than recoding all the Vault mobs to no longer drop it.
Indeed. Now Shadow has no reason to fight immortal on floor 4 as I capped my weekly hilt less than 10 times, and I did that all on floor 3 in the same day.
I thought their intention is to encourage more vault PVP for immortal
