I would say that it is not. They are separate features, to get the mirrored gems, players have to enable the option while entering the elder rift, as always, and itās a āone-time-onlyā boost. I got my 10+10 legendary gems this morning on one of my characters BEFORE activating āWind of Fortuneā.
EDIT: I just entered the game with another character andā¦ I donāt even see the āMirrored Gemsā option when trying to enter an elder rift. It seems that my memory fooled me and this morning I had in fact enabled āWinds of Fortuneā before trying the elder rift. Sorry about that.

Tried with another character. Thereās no indication whatsoever about the āMirrored Gemsā event being āavailableā. You need to activate first āWinds of Fortuneā. Then, you can see āMirrored Eventsā option if you open an elder rift and it says in its information that it is required to have already activated Winds of Fortune. So people who donāt read forums, reddit or any other sources, have no way to know.
Question would be: Is the āMirrored Gemsā event available AFTER āWinds of Fortuneā 24 hours have ran out? If it isnāt, not a smart moveā¦ Surely many players buy legendary crests to get the most of the āMirrored Gemsā, they wouldnāt do it if they miss the event.
Another ābugā. The Winds of Fortune activation message still reads as āThe Winds of Fortune buff will be activated. It will last for 1d while online. Do you want to continue?ā. This is not true. The buff lasts for 24 real time hours, time runs even when the player is offline.
This was reported in the Bug Report forum the last time the event ran because in previous iterations of the event the 24 hour countdown was actually whilst the hero was in-game, i.e. the clock stopped whilst the hero was offline, but in that iteration (and this one) despite the in-game text still saying this, the countdown is 24 hours in the real world, i.e. it counts down whether your heroās in-game or not. They havenāt even changed the in-game text so that the description matches what happens.
Yes, I knew this. I didnāt word it quite well, shouldāve said āAgainā instead of āAnother bugā. I remember that there were discussions and even complaints about this in the previous āWinds of Fortuneā, because many players had let the time run out thinking that it was only spent when they were online.
Sadly, itās not a surprise anymore that they change some feature and donāt bother changing the description/information of the feature to make people awareā¦
The Mirrored Jewel is indeed tied to the Winds of Fortune event and becomes available only once the buff is activated.
I used it today with 3x eternal and 7x normal legendary crests. Unfortunately most gems were useless, the unbound ones were 1-star junk, barely worth selling. At least I got 2x bound 2/5 Wulfheort. Are those useful or just fuel for gem upgrades?
Useful from what I heard but it also depends on the class and build.
I play a minion necro, the āpermanentā beam mages build. I donāt know if Wulheort is any potential use for it.
