Market Price minimums changed

I don’t remember seeing anything in the patch notes about it, but what justification is there behind changing the minimum price you can sell something for other than greed? Before long it will be impossible for F2P/low spenders to get anywhere. If blizzease wants rid of them just say it already. Lol. Example; 1 star legos went from 400 plat minimum to 800 plat minimum this morning after the patch. I should point out that’s the only change I noticed, but I haven’t looked at the rest yet.

For the record, I’m not f2p or a low spender. Also, if someone does have a decent justification so be it.

They’ve done this in the past I believe it’s just resetting the baseline. Happened with the entire Susan bot fiasco.

And I was wondering why all my listed 400 plat 1* gems sold all of the sudden. Now can’t sell for less than 800. Cool. Someone’s gonna make a bit of platinum off of this. :money_mouth_face:

It looks like the 2 star gems went up to 4k minimum as well. Everything else seems unchanged as far as I can tell. Yeah the people mass selling them will be happy cause, no matter what people’s opinion is on it, they’ll still buy them. Lol. I just see it being harder on the low spenders overall.

Tried to list a few gems today and was shocked to see the same gems, previously listed at 1/2 the price my minimum was indicating. Now I’m sitting on a bunch of gems that I have no hope in selling until the backlog of lower priced ones are gone. You just can’t win with a system that constantly moves the finishing line.

This company never fails to amaze me at how sneaky and underhanded they are. I’m very seriously contemplating a full 3-year chargeback of all my purchases since I can’t participate in the privacy breach lawsuit that is available to U.S. residents only.

Our market is flooded with gems right now cause no one is buying anything. There is an insane amount of gems in it. Lol. All of the lower ones sold yesterday and no one has bought anything since.

So, after Blizzard reset the baseline minimum pricing for gems…

  • The lowest price you can list a 1-star gem for is 800 plat
  • The lowest price you can list a 2-star gem for is 4000 plat

Okay, now let’s imagine that you’re buying gems for the gem power, rather than needing a specific gem…

  • A 1-star gem is worth 1 gem power
  • A 2-star gem is worth 4 gem power

Okay, so if I wanted to buy, let’s say, 20 gem power, I have a choice of…

  • Buy 20 1-star gems, at 800 plat each, totalling 16,000 plat
  • Buy 5 2-star gems, at 4000 plat each, totalling 20,000 plat

So who’s ever going to buy 2-stars again unless they want spares of a specific gem?

Why isn’t the minimum price of a 2-star four times the minimum price of a 1-star?

Can Blizzard not do basic arithmetic?

IMO, Dev’s are doing a poor job of managing the market. Not only were gems capped at min 1*(800p)/2*(4000p), but they put a cap on Skill Stones at 1000p and didn’t reduce the cost to extract from a charm, so if you can sell at max, most profit you can possibly make is 350p. Even if you had a 5x 1-class stone, still 350p. That’s some BS.

Not to mention the absurd minimums on Familiars. I had a decent familiar with 2Leg/4Rare passive skills, but it had Remote Salvage, and I couldn’t sell it. Nobody’s buying that for minimum 320,000p.

Yo, Devs!!! If you wanna make these absolutely ridiculous minimums on Familiars, you should also institute a automatic buy-back program. If someone lists a Familiar for your insane minimum 10-times and it doesn’t sell, YOU buy it back from the market & remove it from game.

In fact, you should look at the way you impose these restrictions on the market. You aren’t keeping the market viable, you’re killing it. People that aren’t big spenders that might buy some bundles now & then & rely on selling some of the good things they get are being priced out & have no hope of getting ahead. It is demoralizing.

If you want to kill the game, keep it up, you’re doing great. If you want it to continue to bring in the $$$, fix your huge mistakes.

This clearly excessive change in minimum prices is not acceptable at all. You now have nowhere near the chance to keep up with other players. So it is absolutely not possible to play PvP. Players who have been in the game longer have been able to upgrade their resonance relatively cheaply and have a value of 2xxx resonance, for example. How is a player who is currently at 1300 resonance supposed to catch up? If it stays like this, PvP will die because it’s just frustrating.

A price adjustment is ok, but doubling it?

Four days so far and the amount of gems in the market is wild. I can’t say no one has bought anything at all, but it definitely looks that way. I’ve never seen 40-50+ gems listed at a time.

They destroyed the familiar system and the market with the last change, and now they’re working on destroying gems. I’m not entirely sure what their goal is, but it seems like they’re going to push anyone who isn’t rich and just throwing all their money at this game out. At least at this rate, Strammer you have a point, low reso players will stick to PvE and avoid PvP at all because higher reso/whales aren’t reachable at all.

So it seems that the caps were changed back today. L gems 1*(400p)/2*(1600p) and Skill Stones are back up over 2000p.

So, Devs, I say, THANK YOU if this was intentional, and if it is a mistake, DON’T FIX IT…

Perhaps they could enlighten us as to all of the shadow changes they’re making so we can make adjustments as opposed to finding out because we can’t do things anymore.
