I have a OnePlus 6, and I’m 100% confident I can run 60 FPS with it. Whether I’m right or wrong, I can’t try it because even though the option for 60 FPS is right there in settings, I can’t use it because some developer insists my device is incompatible.
I have issue with a lack-of control on my devices, so even getting DI on my phone was a bit of an ordeal. 30 FPS is crap (only reason I went into settings was to change this), but I would rather the 60 FPS option be hidden altogether than to be locked out of it without control.
I doubt I’m the only complaint about this, and doubt even more it’ll be changed if it hasn’t happened yet, so this is more of a vent than a request. Who in the burning hells really thought this was a good idea to implement?
I know my device better than some kid who only tests on the latest iPhone 15 and deems anything older as unplayable. Let me select 60 FPS and whatever graphics settings I want on my device, and mix-and-match whatever is needed to meet whatever performance target I’m looking for or else, don’t even show the Graphics panel. SD845 is no pushover. Yes I have a phone, but I’m also a PC gamer who knows graphics settings. Stop insulting my intelligence
