Newer to D:I and looking for a clan to help guide me through and to socialize with. I’ve been with the Diablo series since 1997 and am a family man with a wife and kids (37 years old).
I still plan to play pretty much nightly.

You can type in your in-game world chat that you are looking for a clan. You can also click the clan tab and apply.
Word of advice, make sure your character’s level and stats are near those numbers that most of the clan members have. Most leaders and officers, especially for contender clans, choose members that can contribute to clan goals.
Otherwise, improve your character first. There are plenty to do in the game even if you are clan-less.
I’m more looking for the social aspect. I didn’t realize all clans in D:I were super competitive.
