Since this morning’s patch (27th March 2024) whenever items and/or gold drop, there is a significant lag spike where the game becomes almost totally unresponsive until the loot has been picked up by the hero or their familiar. This makes hidden lairs / dungeons almost unplayable and even open-world is affected.
Now, usually when I see reports of lag when killing mobs, it’s because the Codex has a Battle Pass > Quests task to kill 2400 monsters and the lag goes away after that’s completed.
Okay, but today’s update introduced Battle Pass > Trophies and in the General section of that there are trophies for the amount of items of equipment obtained and the amount of gold obtained, i.e. most likely the same thing as the Quests task causing lag, but this is going to be tracking for days / weeks / months.
This has to be sorted out.
