Just get rid of the Sacrifical Power mod in challenge dungeons

The Sacrifical Power mod in challenge dungeons is not fun and should be removed from the game. It is pure tedium and frustration whenever I have to run a dungeon with this mod. Yes I can focus on using mostly just my primary attack but this means the dungeon takes much longer to complete. Also, muscle memory is a thing, and stopping myself from using skills is harder than it sounds. The mod also makes skill cooldowns much shorter which messes up skill timings and incentivises more use of skills. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s killed himself with a dash skill while trying to save myself…

This difficulty mod also hurts certain builds a lot more than others, like those that use skills with multiple charges, compared to say, channeling builds, who don’t feel it as much. And it completely kills certain builds like Wizards using Terminus Facade helmet. It’s normal that some mods will affect certain builds more than others, but I think Sacrificial Power takes that to the extreme.

I don’t think there’s any way to save that mod with nerfs, it should just be removed, or replaced, and in so doing the game would be the better for it. Anybody else agrees?

Agree 100%.

Just ran a C Dungeon (Monastery) with 3 others and the Sac mod. At the final boss, we were dying all over the place. The boss was laying down ground effects and in an effort to avoid them, our dash skills killed us. If we didn’t dash, the ground effects were killing us.

At one point, all 4 of us were dead and the boss conmpletely reset its health because our res timers were taking so long. Then the boss finally enraged and one by one, everyone quit the dungeon.

Stupidest mod ever. Get rid of it! That’s not a challenge. That’s an immature bunch of masochisitic developers thinking of how best to f*ck with the players.

Worst thing of all, even shield and barrier can’t negate the HP drop, so there is nothing the players can do unless your character build is happened to be primary attack spammer.

Actually, on a Barb, the Roar of Persuasion off-hand weapon gives Life Drain during Wrath of the Berserker. As the Sacrificial Power mod also reduces the cooldown on abilities, it’s entirely possible to keep up WOTB up 100%, and the Life Drain is enough to entirely negate the mod’s effect, so we can use abilities completely normally.

This doesn’t alter the fact that this mod is awful.

This is my build and with ‘endless ww’ the mod doesn’t touch ww at all. Due to it already giving life drain at a lower % the mod doesn’t trigger for it. Im usually the only one to survive a full boss fight
