Immortal vault defense needs to reward half on loss

It’s never been good for the game that vault fight rewards were all or nothing. It used to cause shadows to exit early, you thankfully fixed that so they can keep their chest rewards on loss. Great. But Immortals need a similar fix. If my group gets matched against higher res shadows and loses every fight for an hour I get 0 rewards.

Since the update to allow unlimited shadow group runs it has become extremely common for immortal whales to smurf down to crush lower res shadow groups and avoid the shadow whale pvp teams. This leaves those of us mid res immortals who don’t smurf suddenly matched against dominating shadow whales over and over. The skip strong option does nothing in this case because we are the strongest immortal groups in the queue. My like 18k total res teams have spent most of the last 2 weeks of vault hours fighting shadow teams of about 35k res. Not only is that not fun, but I can’t even get my weekly hilts.

I realize the issue of why the heck are our whales smurfing is something to bring up in the clan alliance rather than patch, but the underlying issue that the game gives 0 participation rewards for losses while overly rewarding teams that dominate weaker opponents has been in this game since launch and it should be fixed. You are piling on missing weekly rewards on top of missing vault reward credit on top of the unfun of being dominated repeatedly.

It’s the same issues you have with all of the pvp modes and keep needing to fix. People don’t like spending time losing in BGs/Trial/Alley/Vault/etc and not getting any rewards. You can reward winning more, sure, but allow people to grind rewards on losses too or the time spent playing feels terrible.
