Mmhmm…
Just checking… do you know about the two Fading Embers weekly caps?
Normal cap = 280 Fading Embers
These are earned at 8 per Elder Rift completed. This cap is reached by running 35 Elder Rifts, regardless of whether crests are used or not.
Bonus cap = 120 Fading Embers
These are earned when crests (rare, legendary, eternal, any combo thereof) are added to an Elder Rift. For every crest added, everyone that enters the Elder Rift earns 1 bonus Fading Ember. Thus, if you’re in a 4-man party, and you each put in 10 crests, that’s 40 crests in total, so all four of you earn 40 bonus Fading Embers from that Elder. It’s therefore possible to cap out the bonus by running 3 Elder Rifts where each of the 4 players adds 10 crests to each of them.
Then you go to the Jeweller. Use 320 Fading Embers to craft an Eternal Legendary Crest. You can also use the AST runes earned from rare crest usage to craft 1-star or 2-star gems.
There’s an NPC near the Elder Rift portal (just down and left from it) which sells crests. Each week, you can purchase 1 legendary crest, 1 eternal legendary crest (requires that you have done a WB raid to obtain a voucher) and 3 rare crests, all for platinum.
The Elder Rift portal will give you 1 rare crest every day. The Hilts Trader NPC sells 2 rare crests per day, often has rare crests available on the time-limited tab and, if you’re an Immortal, there’s another 1 rare crest available per day.
It’s entirely possible, without spending any money what-so-ever to earn 40+ rare crests a week, with a few eternal / legendary eternal crests.
Huh? When I use the Random Dungeon Finder, at pretty much any time of the day or night, it usually presents me with a group in under 15 seconds, occasionally as long as 30-60 seconds, but no longer.
