How does MicroBlizzEase define wintrading?

We all know Wintrading is against the ToS.
And we’ve all seen different kind of things that we would consider as Win Trading.

I hope that our Community manager maybe can bring some light into this discussion, since on my Server this discussion is getting slightly out of hand at the moment.

So I decided to make this post in the hope to get some clarification.

Rite of Exile
When it comes to Rite I’ve seen mutliple complaints about wintrading from other servers as well

  1. Is it wintrading if the current Immortals have Alt Clans, that are in the Top10 and then therefore don’t fight that Main Clan?
(For that one actually keep in mind, that if Alt Clans make it into the Top10 then I personally seriously question the strength of the other Dark Clans on that Cluster and if they would even be able to be Immortals, but that’s just my opinion)
  2. What about the Immortals sending down Players, to a shadow Clan, to help them in the upcoming 3v3 and after that the players return to the “former Immortal” Clan that will be Shadow after the 3v3?
  3. Shadow Clans (not alt Clans) desperately throwing matches, while leading the Kills by 75-1 but not bothering to activate the idols in phase 2?
  4. Shadow Clans (not Alt Clans) just staying in the Spawn in Phase 1 not going out at all (no damage on Idols in Phase 1)
  5. Teaming up in the 3v3. Yes we all do it, but if you have a very strict interpretation, that could also be seen as wintrading with your allied Clans especially if you decide beforehand who of those 3 Clans will take the Crown.

Events
Ancient Arena
“Handin over the Win” to a fellow friend/Clan member so that he can claim the chest

PvP Events (Alley of Blood, Conqueror)
Trading wins back and forth to finish the Win x Matches Task as fast as possible.

And just to make that clear, I’m not complaining about the Wintrading I see ingame. I have somehow accepted it an just turn off World/Shadow Chat after Rite of Exile.
But the discussion happening every week after RoE is going on my nerves, so I hope we can get some Clarification from our Community manager.

It is a politic game where the new Immortal can pick 2 weakest shadow clans as its immortal allies when it should be top 2 and top 3 shadow.

Plus the reason why RoE trading even happened because the current RoE Immortal Giant is weak. Thanks to power creep in every patch update, current Immortal Giant doesn’t even lasts more than a minutes even the Immortal driver is a max reso whale. The Immortal Giant at this point scales poorly vs against multiple shadows.

And obviously not everyone love to see their 7 weeks effort went to drain thanks to Blizzard poor balance Immortal Giant, so they rather strike a deal with shadows so everyone can win Blessed Reign by taking turn.

So either they allow Immortal to get the blessed region automatically when they reached the 7th weeks or buff the RoE Immortal Giant properly or else, no clan will fight against each other for nothing.

Fully agree with that, just not the point of the post

I know that the cause of all that is the Challenge of the Immortal has become a joke, Clans want easy 7 weeks, etc etc

I just want to understand what they consider Win trading, to have something official that can be used to end those pointless discussions that always end up in at least 1 hour full toxicity World/Shadow Chat (or multiple days as it is happening on our Server)

I’m also aware that the chance for actually getting an official statement on that is low, but if you don’t try you have no right to complain about it in my opinion.

I highly doubt they’d ever give such a statement. By deliberately keeping it nebulous / unspecified, they have wiggle room to pick and choose when to implement punishments and when not to. If they actually had written, specified criteria that everyone could point to, they’d be expected to stick to them.

Of course, as they don’t stick to their EULA this might be moot.
